今日も一日中暖房が必要な寒い日でした。クルミは今日もヒーターの前で温かい空気を楽しんでいました。私たちも今夜は風呂に入って温まりました。天気予報では明日からは陽射しが期待できるようで楽しみです。息子夫婦はレンタカーを借りて 3 泊のドライブに出掛けていきました。南国から来た彼らには寒い気候も新鮮なのでしょう、ドライブの途中から素敵な写真が送られてきました。

It was a cold day that needed heating all day today. Kurumi was enjoying the warm air in front of the heater again today. We also took a hot bath tonight for warming. According to the weather forecast, we can expect sunny weather from tomorrow, so I’m looking forward to it. My son and his wife rented a car and went on a three-night drive. The cold weather must be fresh for them from the southern countries, and they sent us some wonderful photos from the way to the destnation.

今日は気温が下がり、ガスヒーターを使って部屋を暖めています。クルミはヒーターから噴き出てくる暖かい風にあたるのが好きで、ヒーターの前から動きません。昨日はとても暖かい日だったのでこの寒暖差には驚きです。私は自宅での仕事で長い時間椅子に座っていました。

The temperature has dropped today and I am using a gas heater to warm the room. Kurumi likes the warm air coming out of the heater, so he stays in front of the heater. Yesterday was a very warm day, so I’m surprised by this temperature difference. I spent a lot of time sitting in my chair working from home today.

今日は朝から陽射しが強く、とても暖かい日となりました。息子夫婦が家に来て賑やかに時間を過ごしています。クルミも嬉しそうにしています。午後、木々が秋の色に染まっていくのを眺めながら M さんのお宅を訪ねました。歩いていても汗をかくことがなく、とても気持ちよく散歩を楽しむことができました。
クルミは赤い服を着て嬉しそうにしています。家に人が多く集い、笑い声が絶えないことは嬉しいことです。今回も遠くから来てくれた息子夫婦に感謝です。

The sunlight was strong from the morning today, and it was a very warm day. My son and his wife were coming home and having a lively time. Kurumi looks happy too. In the afternoon, I visited M-san’s house while watching the trees turn to autumn colors. I didn’t sweat even when I was walking, and I was able to enjoy my walk very comfortably.
Kurumi is wearing a red clothes and looking happy. It’s nice to have many people at home and constant laughter. Thank you to my son and wife they came from afar again this time.

今日は息子夫婦を空港に出迎えるために少し忙しい日となりました。昨日までの旅行で車の充電量が減っていたので早朝から充電作業を終えました。午前中の活動を終えて空港に向かい、途中のサービスエリアで昼食をとりながら再度充電しました。電池の寿命を考えるとこまめに充電を行った方が良いことを知りました。それ以来 50% を下回ったら充電するようにしています。空港までの道すがらラジオから「男性の更年期障害」という言葉が聞こえてきました。最近、私も仕事を終えてから気になっていることがあります。一度、受診してみようかと思いました。
今日はクルミとの時間はあまりとれませんでしたが、明け方に世話をしてやって、クルミも元気にしていました。息子夫婦が家に来てクルミも嬉しがっています。

Today was a little busy day to meet my son and his wife at the airport. I finished charging work early in the morning because the amount of charge in the car had decreased during the trip up to yesterday. After completing the morning activities, I headed to the airport and recharged my battery while having lunch at a service area on the way. Considering the life of the battery, I learned that it is better to charge it frequently. Since then, I charge it when it drops below 50%. On the way to the airport, I heard the words “male menopause” on the radio. Recently, I’ve been wondering about something after finishing work. I thought I would check it out once.
I didn’t have much time with Kurumi today, but I took care of him in the early morning and he was doing well. My son and his wife came to my home and Kurumi is also happy.

宿泊地の近くには急速充電の設備がありませんでした。EV を持ってみると宿泊施設に 200V の普通充電が設置されていることを強く望みます。帰宅途中のサービスエリアには屋根があったので強い日差しを受けることなくとても助かりました。クルミは旅の疲れが出たためか帰路はずっと眠っていました。今年 13 歳になるクルミです。そろそろ疲れるような遠出は避けるべきかも知れません。

There were no quick charging facilities near where I stayed. If I bring an EV, I strongly hope that the accommodation has a 200V normal charging station. The service area on the way home had a roof, so it was very helpful to avoid the strong sunlight. Kurumi slept all the way home, probably because he was tired from the trip. Kurumi is turning 13 this year. We may want to avoid long trips that will tire him soon.

この地に来る度に訪れているレストランに今夜も行きました。何度目になるか忘れましたが、今では妻の苦手な食材を理解していただいて助かっています。でも今年でこの店も営業を終えることを知りました。支配人の N さんが引退されることがきっかけのようです。とても残念なことですが仕方ありません。このようなことを知る都度、私もあと何回、この旅ができるのかと考えてしまいます。
クルミは旅の 2 日目も元気にしていました。妻が買い物をしている間、日向ぼっこをしながら居眠りをしてしまいました。

We went to a restaurant that we visit every time we come to this place tonight. I don’t remember how many times it’s been, but now I’m grateful that the sheff understands the ingredients that my wife does not good at. But I found out that this place will also end its business this year. It seems that Mr. N, the manager, retired. It’s very unfortunate, but it can’t be helped. Every time I learn something like this, I wonder how many more times I can do this trip.
Kurumi was doing well on the second day of the trip. While my wife was shopping, He fell asleep while basking in the sun.

この店のオーナーと知り合ってから 20 年近くになります。お互いに笑顔で愛犬の話をしていました。オーナーにプレゼントの品を渡したのですが、今日は涙声でお話しすることになってしまいました。私たちも既に 3 頭とお別れしたのですが、思い出してやることが大切だと思います。このプレゼントもそんな時間に使っていただけたらと思います。高原は寒いくらいの気温です。今夜は零下まで冷え込むようです。クルミはサイズがぴったりのストラップを買ってもらってご機嫌でした。

I have known the owner of this store for nearly 20 years. We smiled at each other and talked about our dogs. I gave the owner a gift, but today we ended up talking in tears. We’ve already said goodbye to three of our dogs, but I think it’s important to remember them. I hope she will use this present as well. The highland has a cold temperature. It looks like it’s going to be cold to below zero tonight. Kurumi was in a good mood when he got a new strap that fit him perfectly.

鉄道写真家のテレビ番組を見ていたら私も一眼レフカメラで久しぶりに写真を撮ってみたくなりました。カメラを持って散歩にでかけました。秋の色を求めて写真を何枚か撮ってみました。テレビ番組で教えてもらったホワイトバランスの調節で少し温かみのある色にすることができました。
クルミの写真もいつものオートモードではなく、暖色にすると画像が柔らかくなります。ついつい、自動設定で使ってしまいますがこれからも工夫してみましょう。

Watching a TV program by a railway photographer made me want to take pictures with a single-lens reflex camera for the first time in a while. I went for a walk with my camera. I took some pictures in search of autumn colors. I was able to make the color a little warmer by adjusting the white balance, which I was taught on a TV program.
The picture of the Kurumi is also not in the usual auto mode, and the warm color softens the image. I tend to use the automatic setting, but I will continue to work on it.

クルミが難聴になって日数が経過しました。彼にとって耳が聞こえないことは音に驚くことがなく良いことなのかも知れません。今日、何回か来客がありましたが、クルミは気づかずに眠っていました。しかし、私たちがクルミのことを呼んでも気づかないので残念です。これからものんびりと長生きしてくれることを願いいます。
プレゼントに注文しておいたガラス細工が届きました。気に入っていただけると良いのですが。思い出の品として飾ってもらえたらと思っています。

It’s been days since Kurumi became deaf. It may be a good thing for him to be deaf so that sounds don’t startle him. We had a few guests today, but Kurumi didn’t notice them and fell asleep. However, it is a pity that we do not notice Kurumi when we call him. I hope that he will live a long and peaceful life.
The glass work I ordered as a gift has arrived. I hope she likes it. I hope she can decorate it as a memorial thing.

太陽が東の空をオレンジ色に染めながら昇ってくる光景はいつでも見入ってしまいます。家々もオレンジ色に色づいていきます。今日もクルミと庭で過ごす時間が持てました。クルミは芝の上を走り回っていました。庭のレモンがすこしずつ色づいてきています。
夕方、車の充電ステーションで出会った人と話すことができました。電気自動車を持つ仲間として貴重な情報交換ができて助かりました。近くに住んでいる人で、車を購入したディーラーは私と一緒でした。彼とほとんど同じような時間で充電をしたのですが、充電電力が違うことに気づきました。少し調べてみようかと思います。

The spectacle that rises while dyeing the sky orange is always a sight to behold. The houses will also turn orange. I was able to spend time with Kurumi in the garden again today. Kurumi was running around on the grass. The lemons in the garden are slowly turning colors.
I was able to talk to the person I met at a car charging station in the evening. It was very helpful to be able to exchange valuable information as a fellow owner of an electric vehicle. He bought his car at the same dealer with me. I charged almost the same time as him, but noticed the charging power was different. I curious so I’ll do a little research.
