Yesterday, October 14th, was the 150th anniversary of Japan’s railway history. 150 years ago, it opened for the first time in Japan between Shinbashi and Yokohama. Since then, railways have evolved remarkably, and bullet trains have started running in many areas. And the development of the Linear Shinkansen is underway. Allows us to move at 500km/h. I’m looking forward to it. Today I was blessed with sunshine in the afternoon and was able to play with Kurumi in the garden. Over the past few days, we’ve changed his eating schedule and he’s starting to feel better. I hope we can play together tomorrow.
We got a call from the trimmer during the trimming for Kurumi. She said that Kurumi is too nervous and is likely to become oxygen deficient. My wife hurried to there. Kurumi is afraid of scissors and doesn’t like being cut around his face. We have to be careful because the color of the tongue will turn purple. Next time, my wife will be waiting nearby. Kurumi will be 13 years old at the end of this year. I hope that he will continue to be taken care and live a long life.
After doing a clean install of Windows 10 yesterday, I installed all the updates. I finished the first half by leaving the computer on all night from last night. And I was finally able to get it up to date over the course of this morning. Since Windows 10 was released in 2015, there have been many updates. I seem to have tracked it all down. Kurumi no longer barks when he’s hungry since he started eating three meals a day. We’ll take a closer look him for awhile. We played at home today. Our friend who lives in Kiyosato, her dog died recently. We’re going to visit her next week, so I’m preparing some goods for the memory.
I’m repairing S-san’s computer today. It was purchased 8 years ago, and it seems that the operation has become slowly recently. It looks like Windows 7 with no updates. Microsoft has already stopped maintaining Windows 7. I somehow managed to get Windows 10 installed. However, the performance of the computer is low, so it takes time to do all the work. Many personal computers at home may be in such a situation. It was a cool day with no temperature rise today. It will rain in the evening, and it seems that this rain will continue until tomorrow. Kurumi and I spent it in the house.
Today was the first time in a long time that there was sunshine in the morning. It was a very pleasant morning as we hadn’t seen the sunshine for a week. In the afternoon, I went out and played with Walnut in the garden, but it was only during my work hours, so it was a little short. Working remotely from home today, I’m tired from sitting too much.
Today is a public holiday called Sports Day in Japan. In 2020, the public holiday previously called Taiiku-No-Hi was renamed. There are many national holidays in Japan, but this day is the first to have an English origin. However, the weather is not good. I was hoping for sunny and warm weather, but the cold drizzle continued throughout the day. I work from home because I work with an overseas company. Kurumi couldn’t go outside today and seemed bored.
Kurumi has been taking a prescription diet. After making this recipe, his digestion is good and it is very helpful. We give him toral 44g a day in divided in the morning (22g) and evening (22g), but since he is so hungry that he can’t wait until the evening, We decided to divide it into 3 portions from today. He’ll have the last one at 8pm. That way, he can sleep peacefully in the morning. I tried fix the leak in the mailbox. The spring of the outlet is broken, and the rain blows in. I bought the spring from a DYI store and installed it. It looks like it will rain tonight and tomorrow. I’m going to bed hoping the mailbox doesn’t have leak tonight.
This year’s Nobel Peace Prize went to human rights organizations in three countries. Below is a newspaper article. It is good to praise the efforts of such people, but I hope that the day will soon come when their activities became real. Ukrainian human rights organization: Center for Civil Liberties (CCL) Promoted human rights and democracy in Ukraine and worked to identify and document Russian war crimes against Ukrainian citizens after Russia’s invasion in February.
It was a short time today, but we enjoy sunny and warm. Kurumi sleeps well in the morning as usual.
The cold rain has been falling since morning, and there is no sign that it will stop until night. The temperature has become as cold as December. It’s a little early, but I put the heating equipment out of the storeroom and installed it. I just finished it last time, but the weather is really unstable this year. In the afternoon, my wife and I went to a cafe that opened recently. There is a big audio system and we can enjoy good sound. There is also a fireplace, and it seems that we can spend a warm time in the winter when the fire comes in. Unfortunately, the firewood was still not lit today. Kurumi looks a little lonely in the house today.
The temperature went down from morning to noon today. I had to turn on the air conditioner to heat up the room in the afternoon. It seems that the cold will continue tomorrow like today. I went shopping at a nearby supermarket in the cold rain. Even though it was this time of year, the hand holding the umbrella was dull. Kurumi looked bored because he couldn’t go out and play in the garden.
