テニススクールに通い始めて 4 年が経過しています。入所当時、コーチに作って差し上げたマグネットのシートを作り直しました。毎日、使ってくれているようで嬉しいことです。このシートを使う前はホワイトボードに手書きされていたのですが、シートにしてからは生徒も見易いし、好評のようです。
クルミは元気になっています。食欲もあって助かります。今日も買い物と家事に追われてしまい、あまり一緒に遊ぶことはできませんでした。

Four years have passed since I started attending tennis school. I remade the sheet of magnets that I had made for my coach when I entered the school, I’m happy to hear that the coach has been using it every day. Before using this sheet, he used to write by hand on the whiteboard, but after using this sheet, it is easier for the students to read and seems to be popular.
Kurumi is doing well. he has an appetite and it helps. I was busy with shopping and housework today, so I didn’t get to hang out with him much.

クルミの世話で早朝に起きました。5 時前だったのでそのまま起きて熱いコーヒーで目を覚ましました。夜明け前の時間は静かでリラックスできます。クルミはまた眠ってしまいました。今日は朝からの家事で一日中動いていたのでとても疲れました。そして気づいたら家から外に出ることがありませんでした。時間が経つ速度の速さには驚きます。今日も快晴の一日でした、たくさんの洗濯物がよく乾いて助かります。

Woke up early in the morning to care for Kurumi. It was before 5am so I just got up and woke up with hot coffee. The pre-dawn hours are quiet and relaxing. Kurumi fell asleep again. I’ve been working all day with housework since morning, so I’m very tired. And before I knew it, I never left the house today. You will be amazed at how quickly time passes. It was another sunny day today, which helped a lot of laundry to dry well.

今朝、カーテンを開けてホッとしました。雨でも雪でもなく、今日も快晴のようです。先週までは雪の予報が出ていました。少し乾燥が和らぐことも期待していたのですが、このところ連日のように乾燥注意報が出ています。
クルミは陽が入る温かい部屋で昼寝をしていました。今日は義妹が妻の介助に来てくれました。クルミも嬉しそうにしていました。定期的に来てくれる義妹に感謝して、彼女の車を洗ってあげました。

I opened the curtains this morning and was relieved. It’s not raining or snowing, and it looks like it’s going to be a sunny day today. Until last week, the forecast was for snow. I was hoping that the dryness would ease a little, but recently there are dryness warnings every day.
Kurumi was taking a nap in a warm, sunny room. My sister-in-law came to help my wife today. Kurumi was also happy with her. As a thank you to my sister-in-law who comes regularly, I washed her car.

今日は暦の上で「小寒」です。これから寒さが増します。幸いに日中は太陽の暖かさを感じることができますが、外に干した洗濯物は陽が陰ると冷たくなってしまうので、少しでも早くから干すようにしています。薪ストーブによる暖かさは格別で、柔らかな温かい空気を感じることができます。今日も上手に火を起こすことができました。
クルミは今日も元気に過ごしていました。ここ数日、お腹の具合が悪かったのですが、今日は良くなっています。仕事と家事に追われる日はクルミとの時間が取れずに残念です。

Today is “Shou-Kan” on the calendar in Japan. It will get colder from now on. Luckily, we can feel the warmth of the sun during the day, but the laundry dried outside gets cold when the sun is out, so I try to hang it out as early as possible. The warmth of the wood stove is exceptional, and we can feel the soft warm air. I was able to start a fire well today.
Kurumi was doing well today as well. He’s been sick to his stomach for the past few days, but he looks feeling better today. It’s a pity that I can’t spend time with Kurumi on days when I’m busy with work and housework.

クルミは食欲旺盛です。食事の時間の前になると私たちの顔を見つめておとなしく待っています。少し体調が悪い時がありますが、食事をしない時はないので安心しています。
今日は妻も食料品の買い物に出かけました。平日の昼はスーパーマーケットも空いているので安心して歩くことができました。帰宅してお茶の時間をのんびりと過ごすことができました。

Kurumi is very appetizing. When it’s time to eat, he quietly waita in our faces. There are times when he feels a little sick, but I am relieved that there is no time when he does not eat.
My wife also went grocery shopping today. The supermarket was not cloudy during the daytime on weekdays, so she was able to walk without worry. We were able to go home and spend our tea time leisurely.

太陽光発電システムを使って 1 年が経ちました。使用量と料金を一昨年と比べてみました。ウクライナとロシアの戦争の影響で電気とガスの料金が値上がりしたため、思ったような削減額にはなりませんでしたが、この値上げがなければ光熱費は半額程度に抑えれた結果です。しかし、投資した金額と同じ削減を得るには 20 年近くかかってしまいますが、二酸化炭素の削減は大きく、地球の温暖化を少しでも遅くすることに貢献できたと思うようにします。
クルミは午後から少し元気がなくなっています。でも食欲はあるので安心しています。この症状は時々出るのですが、原因はわかっていません。今日も部屋を暖かくして過ごします。

It’s been a year since I started using the solar power system. I compared the amount of usage and the price the year before last. The price of electricity and gas increased due to the war between Ukraine and Russia, so the amount of reduction was not as expected. However, even though it would take nearly 20 years to get the same reduction as the amount invested, the reduction in carbon dioxide is significant, and I would like to think that I have contributed to slowing the global warming even a little.
Kurumi has been feeling a little down since the afternoon. But he has an appetite, so I’m relieved. He has this symptom from time to time, but I don’t know what causes it. I will keep our room warm today.

今年もこの寺院に初詣に来ることができました。妻は人混みに出るのが心配なので家にいることとして、私一人での参拝となりました。お賽銭を入れて願ったことは妻の早期全快と家族の健康でした。そして本堂の前に掲げられている「世界平和」を祈念してきました。昨年よりも人出が少なかった理由は分かりませんが、往復のケーブルカーは待ち時間無しで乗ることができました。
最近、クルミの調子がとても良かったのですが、昨日から少しお腹の具合が悪いようです。寒い思いをさせた記憶は無いのですが、早く良くなることを願います。少し早い時間から薪ストーブに火を入れて部屋を温めることにしました。

I was able to come to this temple for the first pray again this year. My wife was worried about going out in crowds, so she decided to stay at home and visit the temple alone myself. My wish for my wife’s early recovery and the health of my family was that I offered money. And I have been praying for “world peace” that is posted in front of the main hall. I don’t know why there were fewer people than last year, but I was able to ride the round-trip cable car without waiting.
Kurumi has been feeling great lately, but since yesterday he’s been feeling a little sick. I don’t remember feeling him cold, but I hope he gets better soon. I decided to warm up the room by putting fire in the wood stove from a little early.

クルミは眠くなると妻の膝の上に行きたがります。クルミの体重は 2kg 程度なのですが、それでも眠ってしまうと重く感じるものです。長い時間、膝に乗せていると疲れてしまいます。クルミが眠った頃を見計らってそっと下ろしてやります。
家事の合間を見つけて、プログラミングの再開です。マイコンを使って、連結された LED を制御するのですが、時間を忘れてしまいます。次の挑戦は楽器の音に合わせて LED を点灯させます。144 鍵盤のピアノを対象としているのですが、マイコンのメモリー容量が足りないので今は 100 個の LED までの制御しかできません。

When Kurumi gets sleepy, he wants to sit on my wife’s lap. Kurumi weighs only about 2kg, but he still feels heavy when he fall asleep. If I put him on my lap for a long time, I will get tired. When Kurumi is asleep, I gently put him down.
Find a break in housework and resume programming. I use a microcomputer to control connected LEDs, but I forget the time when I was programing. The next challenge is to light up the LED according to the sound of the instrument. The target is a 144-key piano, but the memory capacity of the microcomputer is limited, so currently it can only control up to 100 LEDs.

朝寝坊してしまい、今朝は初日の出を見ることができませんでした。最近、明け方の冷え込みで目が覚めてしまうのでエアコンのタイマーをセットして寝室を温めるようにしています。妻も快適に眠ることができると言っています。足元にある湯たんぽも温かく、どうしても起き出すのが遅くなってしまいます。
クルミとも新年の挨拶をして元旦を穏やかに、そしていつも通りに過ごしています。今朝はクルミの爪も切ってやり、少し世話をする時間が長かったのかクルミは吠えていました。異国の地にいる息子夫婦ともメッセージを交わし、新年があけました。

I overslept and couldn’t see the sunrise this morning. Recently, I’ve been waking up in the cold at dawn, so I’ve been trying to warm up my bedroom by setting the timer on the air conditioner. My wife also says she can sleep comfortably. The hot water bottle at my feet is also warm, and I can’t help but get up late.
Kurumi and I are spending New Year’s Day calmly and as usual. This morning I also cut his nails, and Kurumi was barking because it took a long time to take care of him. I exchanged messages with my son and his wife in a foreign land, and the new year began.

クルミの写真を撮り続けて 2 年になろうとしています。毎日、愛犬が中心の生活をして久しい私たち夫婦です。チャオ、クッキー、プリン、クルミと長年ヨークシャテリアと生活してきました。クルミは 13 歳、一番長生きの犬となりました。嬉しい年の瀬を迎えています。犬と一緒だと行動が限られますが、犬が与えてくれる癒しはそんな苦労も忘れさせてくれます。
今日も義妹が妻の介助に来てくれました。一年の汚れを落とすのだと言って妻の身体を洗ってくれました。本当にありがたいことです。こうしてみんなに支えられながら生活できることに感謝して新年を迎えます。

I’ve been photographing Kurumi for almost two years now. It’s been a long time since we’ve been living with our dog every day. We have lived with Yorkshire Terriers for many years with Chiao, Cookie, Purin, and Kurumi. At 13 years old, Kurumi became the longest-lived dog in our history. Happy New Year’s Eve. When we are with a dog, our actions are limited, but the healing that a dog gives us makes forget about that hardship.
My sister-in-law came to help my wife again today. She washed my wife’s body saying that it was to remove the dirt of the year. I am truly grateful. In this way, we welcome the new year with gratitude for being able to live while being supported by everyone.
