晴れ間が出た今日、息子は庭で花の写真を撮っていました。新しいカメラを使って、写真の面白さを改めて実感しているようです。私も古いカメラを持ち出してきて一緒に写真撮影を楽しむことができました。お互いに同じ趣味があると話しが合って楽しいです。午後、彼を都心のホテルまで送っていきました。
クルミはお土産にもらったおもちゃで遊んでいました。息子が帰る時間になるとなんだか寂しそうにしていました。

On a sunny day, my son was taking pictures of flowers in the garden. Using a new camera, it seems that he is realizing the fun of photography again. I also brought out my old camera and was able to enjoy taking pictures with him. It’s fun to talk to each other if we have the same hobby. In the afternoon, I took him to a hotel in the downtown.
Kurumi was playing with the toy he got as a souvenir. When it was time for my son to go home, he felt somewhat lonely.

来日する息子を迎えに空港まで来ています。広い駐車場に停めた時は、駐車した場所を覚えておくために写真に撮るようにしています。今日は一日中雨で、高速道路を慎重に運転してきました。久しぶりに聞く空港のアナウンスはどこか新鮮に聞こえます。国際線が到着するこのターミナルには多くの外国人がいます。そしてほとんどの人はマスクをしていません。マスクをつけて歩いているのは日本人だけかも知れません。今夜は久しぶりに会う息子とグラスを傾けます。
クルミは息子と久しぶりにあって嬉しそうにしていました。

I’m at the airport to pick up my son who is coming to Japan. When I park in a large parking lot, I try to take a picture to remember where I parked. It’s been raining all day today and I’ve been driving carefully on the highway. An airport announcement that I haven’t heard in a long time sounds fresh. There are many foreigners in this terminal where international flights arrive. And most people don’t wear masks. It may be only Japanese people who wear masks while walking. Tonight I will have a glass with my son who I haven’t seen in a long time.
Kurumi was happy to see her son after a long time.

自宅にいる時間が長いと家の中のメンテナンスをすることができます。今日はリビングルームの空気清浄機を掃除しました。この機種は帯電した金属のブレードに粒子を付着させる方式です。定期的に水洗いすることで機能を保つことができるので経済的です。数年使ってみると、水だけでは落ちない汚れが目立ってきました。おそらくキッチンからの油煙が原因かもしれません。思い切って分解し、ブレードを全て洗浄しました。フィルター交換が必要ないのですが、やはり、メンテナンスが必要です。
クルミは今日も元気にしています。お腹が空くのか、おやつの時間になるとねだります。待っている姿が可愛いです。

If I spend longer time at home, I can do maintenance in our house. I cleaned the air purifier in the living room today. This model uses a method that attaches particles to a charged metal blades. It is economical because I can maintain its functionality by washing it regularly. After using it for a few years, the dirt that can’t be removed with just water has become noticeable. Maybe it was the oily smoke from the kitchen. I took it apart and cleaned all the blades. Filter replacement is not necessary, but after all maintenance is necessary.
Kurumi is doing well today. He will ask wife if he is hungry or if it is time for a snack. The waiting figure is cute.

今月から自転車に乗る時にヘルメットを着用することが義務化となりました。私も早速、ヘルメットを購入しましたが、まだ、着用している人は少ないようです。
昨年、日本人の人口は 70 万人減少したそうです。そして、海外から日本に住む人は 20 万人増えました。70 万人というと高知県の人口に匹敵します。一つの県が 1 年で消滅したと考えると驚きです。政府は少子化対策に躍起となっています。
クルミと今日も庭に出る時間が持てました。昼間は暖かでしたが風が強く、花粉と黄砂が舞っていました。

From this month onwards, it is mandatory to wear a helmet when riding a bicycle. I also bought a helmet immediately, but it seems that there are still few people wearing it.
Last year, the Japanese population decreased by 700,000. And the number of foreigners living in Japan has increased by 200,000. 700,000 people is equivalent to the population of Kochi Prefecture. It’s amazing to think that one prefecture disappeared in a year. The government is desperate to deal with the declining birthrate.
I had time to go out to the garden with Kurumi today. It was warm in the daytime, but the wind was strong, and pollen and yellow sand were dancing.

季節の変わり目は天気が変化します。昨日は暑いくらいの気温でしたが、今夜から冷たい雨になるようです。そして、中国大陸からの黄砂が多く日本に降り注ぐ予報が出ています。花粉もまだたくさん飛散しているところに黄砂も混ざって、明日は外に出ないほうがよさそうです。
クルミはとても良く眠るようになっています。特に夜はぐっすり眠っています。しかし犬は寝起きでも寝ぼけることはありません。直ぐに起きて元気に走り回ります。

The weather changes as the seasons change. It was hot yesterday, but it looks like it’s going to be a cold rain from tonight. And there is a forecast that a lot of yellow sand from mainland China will fall on Japan. A lot of pollen is still scattered, and yellow dust is mixed in, so it seems better not to go out tomorrow.
Kurumi sleeps very well these days. Especially at night he sleeps soundly. But dogs don’t fall asleep when they wake up. Get up immediately and run around.

薪ストーブのメンテナンスをプロの方にお願いしました。今年も同じ人が来てくれて安心です。大きな掃除機でストーブの中に溜まった煤と灰を吸い取っていきます。とても大きな音がしますが、クルミは聞こえないので驚くこともありませんでした。煙突の掃除も私が自分でやるよりも早くやっていました。クルミはソファーの上から見守っていました。
庭の木に取り付けていた鳥の巣箱の屋根が取れていたので一度、巣箱を下ろしてみました。鳥が途中まで巣を作っていたようです。もう少し丈夫な構造にして、取り付け直すことにしました。

I asked a professional person to maintain the wood stove. I’m relieved that the same person is coming again this year. A large vacuum cleaner is used to suck up the soot and ash that have accumulated in the stove. It’s very loud, but Kurumi can’t hear it, so he didn’t surprise. He was also cleaning the chimney faster than I could do it myself. Kurumi was watching from the sofa.
The roof of the birdhouse attached to the tree in the garden had come off, so I took the birdhouse down once. It seems that the bird was making a nest halfway. I decided to make it a little more durable and reinstall it.

朝から快晴の一日でした。家の中は昨日までの寒さが残っていて少し肌寒く感じます。クルミと日向ぼっこをしました。陽の暖かさが嬉しい時間でした。
庭のラベンダーが咲き始めています。今日も私は一日、自宅で仕事をしていました。リモートワークに慣れてしまった私です。

It was a sunny day in the morning. It feels a little chilly in the house because the cold from yesterday is still there. I basked in the sun with Kurumi. It was a happy time for the warmth of the sun.
Lavender in the garden is starting to bloom. I was working from home all day today. I am used to work remotely at home.

シンガポールに住む息子から写真が送られてきました。昨日の夕方撮影したそうです。息子は最近新しいカメラを買って、撮影を楽しんでいるようです。絵葉書になりそうなとても綺麗な写真です。何度となく訪れたことがあるシンガポールですが、また行ってみたくなりました。
晴れた日曜、クルミと庭に出ました。妻と私は花の植え替えをしました。そして、いちごの苗も植え替えました。クルミが大好きないちごが今年もできると良いです。

The photos were sent to me by my son he lives in Singapore. It looks like they were taken yesterday evening. My son recently bought a new camera and seems to be enjoying taking pictures. It’s a very beautiful picture that looks like a picture postcard. I have visited Singapore many times, but I want to go again.
On a sunny Sunday, I went out into the garden with Kurumi. My wife and I repotted the flowers. I also planted strawberry seedlings. It’s good to be able to make strawberries again this year that Kurumi loves to eat.

テニススクールの友人に誘われて、午後は屋外のテニスコートでテニスを楽しみました。少し雨が降り、途中 10 分程度は雨のために試合を中断することになりましたが、スクールと違った時間を楽しむことができました。
クルミは家で待っている間はケージの中でおとなしくしています。私たちが帰ってくると元気に迎えてくれます。待っている間は心配で熟睡できないのかも知れません。
夕方、頼んでおいた荷物が届いたのですが、残念なことに土鍋は割れていました。妻が楽しみにしていた品なのですが、とても残念です。週明けに送り主に連絡をしなければなりません。

Invited by a friend from a tennis school, I played tennis on the outdoor tennis court in the afternoon. It rained a little and the match was interrupted for about 10 minutes due to the rain, but we were able to enjoy a different time than at school.
Kurumi is quiet in his cage while waiting at home. He will welcome us when we return. He may not be able to sleep soundly because Kurumi is worried while he is waiting.
In the evening, the package I ordered arrived, but unfortunately the clay pot was broken. It is a product that my wife was looking forward to, but I am very disappointed. I have to contact the sender early next week.

昨日、ディーラーに預けた愛車を取りに行きました。電車とバスを使うと時間がかかります。でも寄り道をして本屋に行くことができました。雑誌のパズルが面白いので、そのパズルの本を探したのですが、見つけることはできませんでした。道すがら空を見上げると雲が早い速度で動いています。今夜は春の嵐になる予報が出ています。そして明日、北国では雪が積もるかも知れない、そんな嵐が来ます。
クルミは吠えて私を呼びます。一緒に遊んでやると直ぐに疲れて眠ってしまうのですが、こんなやりとりができることに感謝しています。

I went to pick up my car that I left at the dealer yesterday. Using trains and buses takes time. But I was able to take a detour and go to the bookstore. The magazine puzzles are interesting, so I looked for the puzzle book, but I couldn’t find it. Looking up at the sky on the way, the clouds are moving at a fast speed. The forecast is for a spring storm tonight. And tomorrow, such a storm will come that it may snow in the northern country.
Kurumi barks and calls me. When I play with him, he gets tired and falls asleep quickly, but I am grateful to be able to interact with him like this.
