日中は陽が当たってとても暖かくなりますが、夕方、陽が落ちると直ぐに寒くなります。まだ陽があるうちに焚き付け用の薪を作りました。昨年から使っている薪割りは上から薪をハンマーで叩くものです。ハンマーで叩く時に手に当たらないように注意する必要あありますが、斧を振り下ろすより安全に作業ができて便利です。この先、10 日分の薪を短時間で作ることができました。
クルミは私に爪を切ってもらったことが嫌だったのか爪を舐めていました。苦髪楽爪という言葉がありますが、クルミは若い時は爪が早く伸びていました。今では爪の伸び方も遅くなりましたが、それは楽をしていないから、では無いと信じます。

It gets very warm during the day when the sun shines, but when the sun goes down in the evening it quickly cools down. I made firewood for kindling while the sun was still out. The firewood splitting I’ve been using since last year is to hit the firewood with a hammer from above. I have to be careful not to hit my hand when hitting with a hammer, but it’s safer and more convenient than swinging an ax down. I was able to make firewood for 10 days in a short time.
Kurumi was licking his nails because he didn’t like having nails cut by me. There is a saying “Ku-Gami-Raku-Zume” that nails grow fast when they are easy. His nails grow faster when he was young. His nails are growing slower now, but I believe it’s not because he is not taking it easy.

今日はクルミと一緒に遊ぶ時間が持てました。クルミの気が済むまで遊んでやるとクルミは疲れて眠ってしまいました。もう直ぐ 13 歳の誕生日を迎えるクルミはずいぶんとおとなしくなりました。そして、自分を見ると、私もずいぶんと体力が落ちました。クルミは耳が遠くなり、私は反射神経が鈍くなりました。そんな私たちです。のんびりと暮らせることに感謝します。

I had time to play with Kurumi today. I played with him until he was satisfied, and he got tired and fell asleep. Kurumi is about to turn 13 years old soon, has become very quiet. And when I looked at myself, I also lost a lot of strength. Kurumi made his ears deaf and my reflexes dulled. That’s what we are. I am grateful to be able to live in peace together.

今日は郊外のベーカリーまでクリスマスのお菓子シュトーレンを買いに、義妹と一緒に、妻と私、そしてクルミみんなで行ってきました。義妹は「私は晴れ女なのでいつも天気が良いでしょう」と言って今日の快晴を自慢していました。このベーカリーはご夫婦で経営されていて、とても美味しいものを提供してくれます。今年もこの味を楽しむことができます。少し遠い場所でしたが、高速道路は空いていて快適なドライブでした。

Today, my sister-in-law, my wife, I, and all Kurumi went to a bakery in the country side to buy some Christmas sweets. My sister-in-law said, “I’m a sunny woman, so the weather is always nice.” This bakery is run by a husband and wife and they serve very delicious food. We can enjoy this taste again this year. It was a little far away, but the highway was easy and it was a comfortable drive.

今日は朝から快晴、青い空が広がりました。車を充電する間、近くの公園を散策して太陽の暖かさを楽しむことができました。クルミは朝からよく眠っていたので家で待っていてもらいました。もう紅葉も終わりとなり、多くの枯れ葉が絨毯のように積もっていました。

It’s sunny from the morning today, and the blue sky has spread. I was able to stroll through the nearby park and enjoy the warmth of the sun while I charged my car. Kurumi has been sleeping well since morning, so I asked him to wait for me at home. The autumn leaves had already finished, and many dead leaves were piled up like a carpet.

明日は 3 ヶ月毎に受けている眼科の定期検診なのですが、今日、病院から電話が入り、医師がコロナに感染したため、休診となってしまうそうです。予約を取り直していただいたのですが、来年 2 月まで待つことになりました。コロナに感染する人は身近にも多くなっていることを実感してしまいました。
今日も日照が無い寒い一日でした。日中は気温が低下して 1 月の気温になったそうです。クルミと外に出ることはできませんでしたが、家の中でのんびりと過ごすことができました。

I have a regular ophthalmology check-up tomorrow, which I have every three months, but today I received a call from the hospital saying that the doctor will be absent because he was infected with the Corona virus. I have rebooked, but will have to wait until February next year. I realized that there are many people who are infected with Corona.
It was another cold day with no sunshine. It seems that the temperature has dropped to January temperature during the day. I couldn’t go outside with Kurumi, but we were able to relax in the house.

今日は日照時間が全く無い寒い一日となりました。小雨も降っていたので早い時間から薪ストーブを使って部屋を暖めています。乾燥した薪は火の付が良いので、煙突からの煙も少なく助かります。太い大きめの薪を入れると長い時間ゆっくりと燃えていきます。ストーブの中で揺らぐ炎を見ていると時間が経つのを忘れてしまいます。
クルミも暖かくなった部屋でのんびりと過ごしています。今日は安定した様子で私たちも安心です。この先、寒い日が続きますが、陽がある昼間はクルミと少しでも外で過ごせればと思います。

It’s been a cold day with no sunshine today. It was raining lightly, so I used the wood stove to heat the room early. Dry firewood catches fire well, so there is little smoke from the chimney, which is helpful. If I put thick and large firewood in it, it will burn slowly for a long time. Watching the flickering flames in the stove makes me forget the passage of time.
Kurumi is also relaxing in a warm room. Things are stable today and we are safe. It’s going to be a cold day ahead, but I hope we can spend some time outside with Kurumi during the day when the sun is shining.

クルミを連れて日用品の買い物に出かけました。この店にはドッグランが併設されていて、クルミを少し遊ばせてやりました。一緒にいた芝犬が寄ってきてクルミは困った様子でした。少し疲れてしまったのか帰宅したらぐっすりと眠ってしまいました。今日も晴れて、日中は暖かい良い週末でした。

We went shopping for daily necessities with Kurumi. This store has a dog run, then we let Kurumi plays a little. There are 2 Shiba Inu dogs they were interesting a small dog came over and Kurumi looked troubled. He was a little tired and fells asleep when we got home. It was sunny again today, and it was a warm weekend in the middle of the day.

妻と一緒に通っているテニススクールは今日から一時的に休業となってしまいました。スクールの職員のなかでコロナウィルスに感染された人が出たためだそうです。そのうち、感染していない人の方が少なくなるような勢いで感染がまた広がってきています。以前から一緒に仕事をしている人も家族全員が感染したそうです。免疫ができたので良かったと言っていましたが、やはり私は感染したくありません。
テニススクールに行けなかったので、クルミは私たちと一緒の時間が長くて嬉しそうでした。気温が上がらない一日でしたが、それでも太陽の暖かさが少し感じられる穏やかな土曜日でした。

The tennis school I go to with my wife has been temporarily closed from today. It seems that there was a person infected with the corona virus among the school staff. In the meantime, the infection is spreading again with the momentum that there are fewer people who are not infected. I heard that the whole family has been infected with the person he has been working with me before. He said it was good that he was immune, but I still don’t want to get infected.
Since we couldn’t go to tennis school, Kurumi seemed happy to spend a lot of time with us. It was a day when the temperature did not rise, but it was still a mild Saturday with the warmth of the sun.

モミジの葉が散り始めています。紅葉の季節が過ぎて寒い冬が訪れました。散歩をしていると手が悴んでしまいます。カタールで開催されているサッカーW杯の試合が日本時間の早朝に行われました。日本が見事に勝利を収めたので気分を良くして明け方の散歩に行きました。
クルミは元気になって遊んでいました。今日は昨日よりも天気が良かったためでしょう。妻が留守の間、クルミと一緒に過ごしていましたが、クルミは少し遊んではすぐに眠ってしまいました。

Maple leaves are starting to fall. The season of autumn leaves has passed and the cold winter has arrived. My hands get tired when I take a walk. The soccer World Cup match held in Qatar was held in the early morning of Japan time. Japan won the match so well that I felt better and went for a walk in the early morning.
Kurumi was playing well. Maybe it’s because the weather is better today than yesterday. While my wife was away, I spent time with Kurumi, he played a little and soon fell asleep.

昨夜、クルミは寝苦しそうにしていました。私はそんなクルミを介助して寝不足の朝を迎えています。今日は気温が下がって、朝から寒い一日となりました。クルミは天候が急変する時に具合が悪くなるようです。クルミも寝不足だったのか欠伸をしていました。しかし、食欲があるので安心しています。天気も良く無いので午後は薪ストーブを使って部屋を暖めています。

Last night, Kurumi was having trouble sleeping. I’m having a sleepless morning by taking care of such him. The temperature has dropped today, and it’s been a cold day since the morning. Kurumi seem to get sick when the weather changes suddenly. He was also yawning because of lack of sleep. But he has an appetite, so I’m relieved. The weather is not good, so I use the wood stove to heat the room in the afternoon.
