今日は久しぶりに友人との会食で電車で移動しています。最近、コロナウイルスの感染者が再び増加しています。日本では第 8 波が来ていると報じられ始めました。電車でも、街でも、人出が多く、以前のように賑やかになっています。違うのはマスクをほとんど全員の人が着けていることでしょう。来週オミクロンのワクチンを接種します。感染対策をして会食してきます。
今日は仕事にも追われて、クルミとの時間は持てない今日でした。明日も会食がありますが、昼間はクルミと遊ぶ時間を持ちたいと思います。

Today I am traveling by train for dinner with friends for the first time in a while. Recently, the number of people infected with coronavirus is increasing again. It has begun to be reported that the 8th wave is coming in Japan. There are many people on the trains and on the streets, and it is as lively as before. The difference is that almost everyone is wearing a mask. I will be getting the Omicron vaccine next week. I’m going to have a dinner with the infection measures.
I was busy with work today and didn’t have time to spend with Kurumi. I have a dinner party tomorrow also, but I would like to have time to play with him during the day.

今日は薪棚に薪を詰め込みました。私はドライバーさんともう一人の方の動きを手伝って働きました。全ての薪をトラックから棚に移動させたら、汗をかいてしまいました。良い天気で良かったのですが、力仕事をするには暑いような日でした。これでこの冬の準備も整いました。
クルミも良い天気のなか、庭に出て遊ぶことができました。今日はクルミの写真をスマホではなく、一眼レフのカメラで撮影したので私の方を見てくれました。クルミはいつも、スマホで撮影するとそっぽを向いてしまいます。

I packed firewood into the firewood shelf today. I worked with the driver and another person today. After moving all the firewood from the truck to the shelf, I was sweating. The weather was fine, but it was too hot for heavy lifting work. I am ready for this winter.
Kurumi was also able to go out and play in the garden in good weather. Today, I took a picture of him with a single-lens reflex camera, not a smartphone, so he looked at me. Kurumi always turn away when photographed with a smartphone.

今日も快晴で気持ちの良い一日でした。昨日修理から帰ってきたレンズを使って皆既月食の写真を撮ってみました。今回は天王星も月の影に隠れる希少な光景が見ることができました。太陽、地球、月、天王星が直線に並んだ瞬間を撮ることができました。月が暗くなっているので私のカメラでも青い天王星が確認できました。
クルミは今日も元気に遊んでいました。昼間は太陽の光が窓から差し込んでくるので暖かく、クルミも気持ちよく過ごしていました。

Today was another sunny and pleasant day. I took a picture of the total lunar eclipse using the lens that came back from repair yesterday. This time, I was able to see the rare sight of Uranus hiding in the shadow of the moon. I was able to capture the moment when the sun, earth, moon, and Uranus lined up in a straight line. Since the moon is getting darker, I was able to see blue Uranus with my camera.
Kurumi was playing well today as well. In the daytime, the sunlight came in through the window, so it was warm and he was comfortable.

クルミはとても寂しがりやさんになってしまいました。昨日まで息子夫婦が居て、たくさん遊んでくれたのですが、今日は私たち夫婦だけに戻ってしまいました。私たちが食事の支度をしている間、吠えて遊べと言っています。きっと数日もすれば諦めてくれることでしょう。
数週間前に修理に出していたレンズが戻ってきました。手ブレ機構が動かなくなってしまっていたのと、レンズ内部の清掃を依頼しました。少し高価な修理代でしたが、これでまた写真撮影を楽しもうと思います。

Kurumi has become a very lonely dog. Until yesterday, my son and his wife were here and played with him a lot, but today he is back to just I and my wife. He barks and tells us to play while we prepare food. I’m sure he’ll give up after a few days.
I got the lens back from repair a few weeks ago. The camera shake free mechanism stopped working, so I asked for cleaning inside the lens also. It was a little expensive repair fee, but I think I’ll enjoy photography again with this.

息子夫婦は私の車のトランクに入りきらないほどたくさんの荷物を持って帰っていきました。空港で別れた後、滑走路の向こうに沈む夕陽の写真を送ってくれました。この 2 週間、秋の日本を楽しんで満足したことと思います。私も彼らが楽しんでもらえたら幸せです。家に帰っての夕食時、夫婦 2 人とクルミの静かな生活に戻ったことを実感しました。
クルミは彼らが帰ってしまう時、少し寂しそうでした。今日もクルミにとっては暖かい日で良かったです。

My son and his wife left with so much luggage that they couldn’t fit in the trunk of my car. After parting at the airport, they sent me a photo of the sun setting over the runway. I hope they enjoyed the autumn in Japan for the past two weeks and were satisfied. I would be happy if they enjoyed it too. At dinner when I got home, I realized I was back in the quiet life of our couple and Kurumi.
Kurumi looked a little lonely when they left. Today was another warm good day for Kurumi.

息子夫婦と一緒に銀杏並木を散策しました。葉は黄色い木とまだ緑が残っている木があって季節の移り変わりを感じます。銀杏の実を見たことが無い息子の嫁は初めて見る実に驚いていました。既に匂いは弱くなっていますが、周囲は銀杏の匂いでした。クルミも息子とたくさん歩いていました。

We took a walk along the ginkgo trees with my son and his wife. Some trees have yellow leaves and others still have green leaves, so we could feel the change of seasons. My son’s wife has never seen ginkgo nuts / fruit, was really surprised to see them for the first time. The smell was already weak, but the surroundings were the smell of ginkgo. Kurumi also walked a lot with my son.

旅行最後の日も快晴でした。今日も青い空と綺麗な富士山を見ることができました。息子と交替しながらのドライブはとても楽しいものです。湖畔のレストランで昼食としましたが、水面を渡って吹いてくる風には震え上がってしまいました。最後の充電地点では既に充電を行なっている車がいたので私は諦めました。帰宅するには十分な量が残っていて安心です。
クルミはいつものように少し疲れた顔をしていましたが、今日も元気に私たちと一緒に行動することができました。次に息子夫婦と 4 人で旅行する場所を帰りの車内で話していました。クルミも一緒に行ける所を検索してみます。

It was a beautiful day on the last day of our trip. We were able to see the blue sky and beautiful Mt.Fuji today, too. Driving with my son is a lot of fun exchanging driver. We had lunch at a lakeside restaurant, but the wind blowing across the surface of the water made us tremble. At the last charging point, there were a few cars already charging, so I gave up. It’s safe to have enough left battery charge to go home.
Kurumi looked a little tired as usual, but he was able to join us today in good spirits. I was talking with my son and his wife in the car on the way back about where we would like to travel next. I’ll try to find a place where we can go with Kurumi.

今朝は太平洋から昇る太陽を見ることができました。1 階の部屋なので木々に隠れてしまいましたが、オレンジ色に輝く太陽がぐんぐんと昇ってくる時間の流れを感じることができました。今日は東から西伊豆に横断して土肥金山を訪れました。私たち夫婦は数年前に来たことがありますが、息子夫婦は初めての砂金取りに挑戦していました。西海岸から望む海と富士山の光景は圧巻でした。
クルミは私たちと一緒に行動できたので幸せでしたが、少し疲れてしまったかも知れません。今夜もきっと熟睡することでしょう。

I was able to see the sun rising over the Pacific Ocean this morning. Because it was a room on the first floor, it was hidden by the trees, but I could feel the passage of time as the orange-colored sun steadily rose. Today, we crossed from the east to the west Izu and visited the Toi Gold Mine. I and my wife have been here several years ago, but our son and his wife were trying to pan for gold for the first time. The view of the sea and Mt. Fuji seen from the west coast was spectacular.
Kurumi was happy to be with us, but he might be a little tired. I’m sure he will sleep well tonight.

今日は私たち 47 年目の結婚記念日です。少しのんびりしようと思い、息子夫婦と一緒に伊豆にドライブです。熱海で昼食をとり、海岸近くを散策しました。小春日和でとても暖かく、陽があたると暑いくらいでした。伊豆高原の宿は初めて利用するところです。明日は文化の日で休日とあってか家族連れが多く来ていました。日常を離れて時間を楽しみたいと思います。

Today is our 47th wedding anniversary. I decided to take it easy for a while, so I drove to Izu with my son and his wife. We had lunch at Atami and took a walk near the coast. It was a very warm like early spring day, and it was almost hot when the sun hit us. This is the first time I’ve used this Izu Kogen inn. There were many families coming because it will be a holiday tomorrow on Culture Day. I want to get away from my daily life and enjoy my time.

3 年前に購入したクリーナーの電池交換を試みようとしています。今日、電池が入荷しました。あとは配線材料を用意する予定です。今後のことを考えて電池の配線にはコネクターをつけてみようと思っています。6 分で止まってしまうようになってしまいましたが、電池を交換して良くなることを想定しています。
クルミは今日も息子夫婦に遊んでもらって幸せそうにしています。

I’m trying to replace the battery in a cleaner I bought 3 years ago. Batteries arrived today. I’m going to prepare the wiring materials later. Thinking about the future, I’m thinking of attaching a connector to the battery wiring. It started to stop after 6 minutes, but I’m assuming that it will get better after replacing the battery.
Kurumi is happy to have time son and his wife play with him today.
