今日、日本は春分の日で休日です。WBC 準決勝戦が日本時間朝 8 時から始まりました。メキシコを相手に投打の戦いの末、日本は勝ちました。私と妻もテレビを見ながら日本を応援しました。いよいよ明日はアメリカとの決勝戦となります。
私たちがテレビを観ている間、クルミはストーブの前で眠っていました。今日は少し肌寒かったのですが、午後はクルミと庭に出て遊ぶことができました。外にいると沈丁花の良い香りが漂ってきました。

Today is the vernal equinox day in Japan and it is a holiday. The WBC semi-final match started at 8:00 in the morning Japan time. After a long pitching battle against Mexico, Japan won. My wife and I also watched TV and cheered for Japan. Tomorrow will be the final match against the United States.
Kurumi was sleeping in front of the stove while we were watching TV. It was a little chilly today, but I was able to go out and play with Kurumi in the garden in the afternoon. When I was outside, there was a good scent of Shencho flower.

クレジットカードを持つようになって 40 年以上が経ちました。これまでに不明な請求が 1 度だけありました。そして今日 2 件目の不明請求が発生しました。1,061 円の請求、帳面と合いません。私はクレジットカードを使用する度に記録するようにしています。請求元の会社に連絡をしました。担当の方も異常に気づいてくれています。40 年の間に 10,000 件近い支払いをしてきて、2 度の不具合です。このようなケースが再発しないように願います。
今日、クルミは獣医で検診を受けました。甘ったれの性格ですが、胸の音も異常なく、元気なので安心です。帰り道に河原沿いに咲く桜を見にいきました。早咲きの木は満開でした。

I have had credit cards for over 40 years. I’ve only had one unknown charge so far. And today I received a second unknown charge. The bill of 1,061 yen does not match the book. I record every time I use my credit card. I contacted the billing company. The person in charge is also confirmed it. I’ve made close to 10,000 payments in 40 years, and it’s been 2 failures. I hope that such cases will not happen again.
Kurumi had a medical checkup at the vet today. He has a sweet personality, but his chest sounds normal and he is in good spirits, so we are fine. On the way home, we went to see the cherry blossoms blooming along the river side. The early-blooming trees were in full bloom.

昨日の寒さから一変して今日は陽射しがたっぷりの暖かい一日となりました。クルミと庭で遊ぶこともできました。窓辺の花も全開です。この暖かさで近くの公園の桜も咲くことでしょう。
妻と食材の買い物に行きがてら、カフェで昼食をいただきました。勉強道具を持ち込んで長く座っている学生もいて、週末は混んでいて席を見つけるのが大変です。最近はモバイルオーダーといって店で並ばないでもスマホから商品を注文できます。空いている席を見つけて座っている間に商品ができあがります。便利になったものです。

It turned out to be a warm day with plenty of sunshine today, a complete change from yesterday’s cold weather. I was also able to play in the garden with Kurumi. The flowers by the window are also in full bloom. With this warmth, the cherry blossoms in the nearby park will also bloom.
I had lunch at a cafe while going shopping for foods with my wife. Some students bring study things and sit for a long time, and on weekends it is difficult to find a seat because it is crowded. Recently, we can order products from our smartphone without waiting in line at the store called “mobile ordering”. Find an empty seat and sit while the product is ready. It’s convenient.

今日は寒い一日でした。朝から夜まで小雨が降り続きました。時折、雨足が強くなり、北の地方では雪も降ったようです。幸いにも今年は薪が残っているので、今日は午後から薪ストーブで暖をとりました。薪ストーブを使うシーズンも終わりに近づくと私も火付けに慣れてきます。今日も上手に温度を上げることができました。
クルミは今日も元気に過ごしていました。部屋が温まるとすぐに眠ってしまいました。明日は良い天気になる予報が出ています。庭で遊べることを願います。

It was a cold day today. It rained continuously from morning till night. Occasionally, the rain became stronger, and it seems that snow fell in the northern region. Luckily, I had some firewood left this year, so I warmed up with the wood stove this afternoon. As the season for using wood stoves comes to an end, I also get used to lighting fires. I was able to raise the temperature well today as well.
Kurumi was doing well today as well. As soon as the room warmed up, he fell asleep. The forecast is for good weather tomorrow. I hope we can play in the garden.

この 1 週間は、情報番組の話題は WBC でもちっきりでした。昨日、日本チームはイタリアに勝って、今日の便で準決勝・決勝が行われるアメリカへ旅たっていきました。来週もこの話題で事欠かないことでしょう。それでもロシアとウクライナの戦争は続いていて、今日の新聞誌上では国連調査委員が発行したロシアの戦争犯罪についての報告書のことが書かれていました。私たちは少しの間でも忘れてはいけないことなのかも知れません。
クルミは昨日買ってもらった服を着てご機嫌です。そして午後からトリミングに行きました。

This past week, the topic of the information program was clear all of WBC. Kurumi is in a good mood wearing the clothes he bought yesterday. And in the afternoon he went to trim.

良い天気に誘われてクルミと一緒にアウトレットモールに行きました。ここにある多くの店は犬を連れて入れるので一緒に買い物ができて便利です。クルミは服を買い、妻も買い物をしていました。そして私はというと何も買わずに帰ってきました。物を買う意欲が無いわけではないのですが、何不自由の無い生活をしていると、使っている物が使えるうちは、勿体無いという考えが先にたってしまいます。それよりも美味しい食事をしたいのが本音かも知れません。

The nice weather invited me to go to an outlet mall with Kurumi. Many stores here allow dogs, so it’s convenient to shop with them. Kurumi was shopping for clothes, and so was my wife. And I did without buying anything. It’s not that I don’t have the desire to buy things, but when I live a life without any inconvenience, I tend to think that the things I use are wasteful as long as they can be used. It may be true that I want to eat more delicious than that.

鶯の声が聞こえる季節になりました。「花冷え」という言葉がありますが、桜の花が咲く時期は朝晩の冷え込みがあります。今朝も冷え込みましたが、散歩してみました。冷たい空気の中に鶯の声が綺麗に聞こえていました。
暖かくなった午後、クルミと庭で過ごすことができました。私が先に家の中に入るとクルミは玄関に来て私を探していました。今日も穏やかに過ごせたことに感謝しています。

It’s the season when I can hear the voice of the nightingale. There is a word “Hana-chie”, which means that it is cold in the morning and evening when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. It was cold again this morning, but I took a walk. I could hear the voice of the nightingale beautifully in the cold air.
I was able to spend a warm afternoon in the garden with Kurumi. When I entered the house first, Kurumi came to the front door looking for me. I am grateful that I was able to have a peaceful day today.

妻は医師からテニススクールへの参加許可をもらって嬉しそうにしています。また来月から一緒に汗を流すことができるので私も楽しみです。でも、まだ全力でのスウィングはできません、気をつけながら楽しみたいと思います。今日は桜の開花宣言も出されました。これも嬉しいニュースです。これからしばらく桜のシーズンが楽しめます。
クルミは毎食後よく眠ります。今朝も昼過ぎまで熟睡していました。私と妻はその間に通院、昼食、買い物を済ませることができました。

My wife is happy that her doctor gave her permission to attend the tennis school. I’m looking forward to being able to sweat together again from next month. But she still can’t swing with all her might, so we want to enjoy it while being careful. Cherry Blossom Flowering Declaration has also been issued today. This is also good news. We can enjoy the cherry blossom season for a while.
Kurumi sleeps well after each meal. He slept well until noon this morning. My wife and I were able to go to the hospital, have lunch, and go shopping during that time.

今日からマスクの着用義務が緩和されて、個人の判断に委ねられるようになりました。これまで 3 年間続いてきたマスクを着けないといけない生活が終わりました。レストランの席に置かれていたアクリル板も取り去る店も出てきました。それでも私は当面の間はマスクを着用しようと思います。感染のリスクを考えるとマスクの着用が欠かせません。
今日は春の嵐、風雨が強い日でした。午後にはそんな嵐もおさまったのですが、庭は雨で濡れていたのでクルミは家の中で過ごしていました。

Today was a spring storm, windy and rainy day. The storm had passed in the afternoon, but the garden was wet from the rain, so Kurumi stayed indoors.

ショッピングセンターのドッグランに入ることができるように、クルミを登録してもらいました。3 ヶ月前に来た時は狂犬病の接種記録を持っていなかったので、今日になってしまいました。小さなドッグランですが、全面に人工芝が敷き詰められていて清潔に保たれています。これからは季節が良くなるのでクルミと買い物に来るのが楽しみです。
車の操作パネルに表示されるイラストが変わって、ブレーキランプの点灯も表示してくれるようになりました。アクセルペダルを離すとブレーキがかかるモードで運転していても、ブレーキランプが点いているか不安だったのですが、これがあると確認できて便利です。
買い物から帰ってから庭仕事を妻と行いました。今年は小粒になった金柑を摘み取りました。水仙の蕾も大きくなっています。

I had Kurumi registered so he could enter the shopping center dog run. When I came here three months ago, I didn’t have a rabies vaccination record, so I’m here today again. It’s a small dog run, but the entire surface is covered with artificial grass and kept clean. The season is getting better from now on, so I’m looking forward to coming shopping with Kurumi.
The illustration displayed on the control panel of the car has changed, and it now displays the lighting of the brake lamp. I was worried that the brake lights would be on even when I was driving in a mode where the brakes would be applied when the accelerator pedal was released, but it’s convenient because I can check with this.
After returning from shopping, I did garden work with my wife. This year we picked a small kumquat. Daffodil buds are getting bigger too.
