昨日修理した水栓の部品は、今日また壊れてしまいました。水栓本体を交換するか、この際、洗面台を入れ替えるか、妻と相談しています。長く使ってきたものが壊れるのは仕方ないことなのですが、残念です。ストーブ屋さんからの電話で薪の配達が今日になりました。今年はストーブの心配がいらないくらい暖かいのですっかり忘れていました。今年は 2 立米を購入、薪棚に収めることができました。昨年は今頃から薪ストーブを使い始めていたのですが、今年はまだ先になりそうです。クルミくんは今日も息子夫婦が相手をしてくれて幸せそうでした。

It is unfortunate that something that has been used for a long time has to break. The stove store called and the firewood delivery is today reminded me. It has been so warm this year that I have not needed to worry about the stove, so I had completely forgotten about it. This year I purchased 2 cubic meters and was able to fit it in the firewood rack. Last year we started using the wood stove around this time, but this year it will be a while yet. Kurumi was happy to have the company of my son and his wife today, too.

11 月になったというのに、今日は真夏日のような暑い一日でした。洗面所の混合栓から水が漏れてくるようになったので分解して修理しました。樹脂製の部品が割れていたのが原因です。この部品をネットで探したのですが見つかりません。接着剤で応急修理したのですが、再発するようなら水栓本体の交換が必要になります。クルミくんもこの暑さに驚いているようです。今日も元気に遊んでいます。

Even though it was November, today was a hot day like a midsummer day. Water started leaking from the mixer faucet in the bathroom, so I disassembled it and repaired it. The cause was that a plastic part was broken. I looked for this part on the Internet but could not find it. I repaired it with adhesive, but if it recurs, the faucet itself will need to be replaced. Kurumi seems to be surprised at the heat. He is playing energetically today.

今日は私たち夫婦の 48 周年、結婚記念日でした。1975 年に結婚してからいろいろなことがありました。そして今、年齢も重ねて、私たちは気づくとここに居たという感じです。この先は終焉を思って、楽しく、幸せに暮らせることを願ってやみません。クルミくんともこの先、何年一緒に生活できるかは神のみが知るところですが、その時まで一緒に楽しく過ごせることを願います。

Today is our 48th wedding anniversary, and a lot has happened since we got married in 1975. And now, as we age, we find ourselves here. I hope that we can live happily and safely together as we look forward to the end of our lives. Only the god knows how many years Kurumi-kun and we will be able to live together in the future, but I hope that we will be able to enjoy our time together until then.

快晴の朝、旅館を出て周囲を散策してみました。温泉のある小さな海辺の町です。源泉が出ているところでは足湯と手湯のサービスがあります。近くのバス停には待合所が設けられていて、そこにしばらく座ってたら通学の学生が寄ってきて挨拶をしてくれました。昨日は見ることができなかった富士山を見に、家族で山の上までロープウェイで上がり、景色を楽しむことができました。2 泊 3 日の短い旅行でしたが、今回は初めて訪れる場所が多く、充実した時間を過ごすことができました。クルミくんも私たちと一緒に多くの場所に行くことができました。

On a clear sky morning, I left the hotel and went for a walk in the surrounding area. It is a small seaside town with hot springs. Footbath and handbath services are available at the source. A waiting area was set up for a nearby bus stop, and when I sat there for a while, students on their way to school came up to me and greeted me. Although it was a short trip of 3 days and 2 nights, we were able to spend a fulfilling time at many places we visited for the first time. Kurumi was able to visit many places with us also.

土肥港から清水港までフェリーボートで駿河湾を横断して、清水側を観光してきました。昨日の快晴から一転して今日は曇りとなり、時折小雨が降る生憎の天気となってしまいました。フェリーボートから眺めることができる富士山を期待していたのですが、残念です。天気はどうしようもないことです。のんびりと名勝を訪れることができました。クルミくんは長いこと車に乗っていたので疲れてしまったようです。家族との楽しい時間は早く過ぎ去ってしまいます。

We crossed Suruga Bay by ferry boat from Doi Port to Shimizu Port and went sightseeing on the Shimizu side. After yesterday’s fine weather, today’s weather turned cloudy with occasional light rain, which was unfortunate. We had hoped to see Mt. Fuji from the ferryboat. The weather is something that can’t be helped. We were able to leisurely visit the scenic spots. Kurumi was tired after being in the car for so long. Fun times with family go by fast.

家族旅行で西伊豆に来ました。幸いにも晴天に恵まれてとても良いドライブになりました。恋人岬までのハイキングでは汗をかくほどでした。空には雲ひとつなく、富士山も綺麗に見ることができました。車中でも、これまでの思い出を語ったり、クルミくんのことを話したり、家族で楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。クルミくんはたくさん歩いたのか、宿について、食事を終えたら直ぐに眠ってしまいました。

We came to Nishi-Izu area for a family trip. Fortunately, we were blessed with clear skies and a very nice drive. The hike to Koibito-misaki (Lovers’ Cape) made us sweat. There was not a cloud in the sky and we could see Mt. Fuji. We had a great time in the car as well, talking about memories of the past and Kurumi, and enjoyed spending time together as a family. Kurumi had walked a lot and fell asleep as soon as we arrived at the lodge and he finished eating.

私がアマチュア無線の免許を取得したのは、私が 13 歳の時です。将来は自宅に大きなアンテナタワーを建てたい、という夢を抱いていました。結局、その夢は実現しませんでした。今日、車を充電している間の散策途中で、大きなアンテナタワーが建っている家を見ました。今でも活発に活動されていることを想像して見ていました。今日は義理の妹が息子夫婦に会いに遊びに来てくれました。みんなで昼食とデザートをいただき、楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。クルミくんも構ってくれる人が多いので、少し疲れ気味でした。今夜はきっと熟睡することでしょう。

I got my amateur radio license when I was 13 years old. I had a dream of building a large antenna tower at home in the future. In the end, that dream did not come true. Today, on a walk while recharging the car, I saw a house with a large antenna tower. I looked at it imagining that it was still active. Today my sister-in-law came to visit us to see my son and his wife. We all had lunch and dessert together and had a great time. Kurumi was a little tired because there were so many people to take care of him. I am sure he will sleep well tonight.

今日から息子たちが来日することになり、私は空港まで迎えに行きました。帰りは少し渋滞していましたが、ほぼ、順調にドライブすることができました。空港で彼らが出てくるまで待たされるかと思ったら着陸して 30 分程度で会うことができ驚きました。コロナ禍が終わり、海外から来る旅行者も増えて、全てが以前のように回るようになってきたようです。さて、これから 2 週間、息子たちが日本で有意義な時間を過ごせるようにおもてなしです。クルミくんはひさしびりのお客様と再会できて少し興奮しています。

My sons are coming to Japan today and I picked them up at the airport. The way drive back to home was a little congested, but mostly smooth. I was expecting to have to wait at the airport for them to come out, but was surprised to see them within about 30 minutes of landing. Now that the Corona disaster is over and more tourists are coming from overseas, everything seems to be back to normal as before. Now, we are looking forward to the next two weeks of hospitality so that our sons can have a meaningful time in Japan. Kurumi is a little excited to see our guests again.

久しぶりに旅行を計画して宿泊の予約を入れました。日程が近づいた今日、変なメッセージが来ました。リンク先をクリックすることは危険なのでそのまま削除しました。同じようなケースがネット上でも掲載がありました。予約のスケジュールまで読み取っています。このような情報が漏れてしまうことに危惧します。クルミくんは今日も元気に過ごしていました。気候が良いとクルミくんの調子も良いので助かります。

車のバンパーを路肩で擦り、傷をつけてしまった箇所は修理していただいたのですが、その時にタイヤホイールも傷つけていました。浅い傷だったので、これは自分で目立たないようにしてみました。最近は紫外線で硬化する材料があるのでとても便利です。作業時間も短くできます。通勤途中に開店したポルシェの販売店に 150KW クラスの充電器が設置されたことを聞いて、訪れてみました。ところが、この充電器は私が加盟している会員権では認証できず、新たに契約する必要があるので諦めました。いつもの場所は 80KW クラスなので、試算では半分の時間で同じ量の電力を蓄えることになります。クルミくんは私が帰宅すると直ぐに寄ってきて甘えながら眠ってしまいました。今日も昼間は暖かくて助かりました。
