玄関に設置しているクルーゼットは、もう 30 年以上前に購入したものです。ライティングボックスがあるのですが、スイッチを操作するのではなく、自動で点灯、消灯するように改造してみました。そして、コンセントも追加して妻が気に入っている照明も同時に使えるようにしてみました。これで夜も消し忘れることがなくなりました。
クルミは眠っている時間がとても長くなりました。食事前後の時間は起きてきますが、それ以外はほとんど眠っているようになりました。私も大工仕事の後はクルミと一緒に昼寝してしまいました。

The cruisette at the entrance was purchased over 30 years ago. It has a lighting box, but instead of operating a switch, I modified it so that it turns on and off automatically. And I added an outlet so that my wife’s favorite lighting can be used at the same time. No more forgetting to turn it off at night.
Kurumi has been sleeping much longer. He wakes up before and after meals, but other than that, He’s almost asleep. I also took a nap with him after carpentry work.

ドッグランがあるホームセンターで買い物をしました。私たちの買い物を終えた後、クルミとドックランで遊ぶことにしました。今日は他の犬がいなかったので、クルミは自由に歩き回っていました。ここは人工芝が使われているので清潔です。しばらく遊んだ後、公園にも寄って散歩を楽しみました。今日は少し風があるとても過ごしやすい日でした。
今、台風 2 号が日本から遠く離れた南の海上を西に進んでいます。とても勢力が強い台風になっていて、週明けに日本に近づいてくることが予想されています。まだ梅雨になっていない時期に大きな台風が来るようになったことを恐れます。

We went shopping at a home center with a dog run. After finishing our shopping, we decided to play with Kurumi at the dog run. There were no other dogs today, so he was free to walk. It’s clean because artificial turf is used here. After playing for a while, we stopped by the park and enjoyed a walk togather. Today was a very pleasant day with a slight breeze.
Typhoon No. 2 is now heading west over the southern seas far away from Japan. It is expected to become a very strong typhoon and approach Japan early next week. I am afraid that a big typhoon will come when the rainy season has not yet started.

私たちは 6 回目のコロナワクチン接種を受けました。高齢者なので無料です。これまでと比較すると会場は空いていました。既に 5 類になったこともあるのでしょう、若い人はお金を払って接種しないのかも知れません。夜になって、注射の後が痛くなってきました。これまで感染しませんでした。これからも可能なら感染を避けます。その後妻と会場近くのカフェで一休み。気がつけばここも開店して 6 年になるようです。
クルミは私たちが帰るまで家で眠って待っていたようです。

We have received our 6th Corona vaccination. It’s free for senior citizens. The venue was empty compared to before. Perhaps it has already fallen into category 5, and young people may not pay to be vaccinated. At night, after the injection, it started to hurt. I have not been infected so far. Avoid infection if possible. After that, I took a break with my wife at a cafe near the venue. If I notice, it seems that this place has also been open for 6 years already.
It seems that Kurumi was sleeping at home waiting for us to return.

今日はまた、朝から冷たい雨が降る涼しい一日でした。昨日から気温が 15℃も下がって、夜はストーブで部屋を温めるくらいに涼しくなりました。気温の変化が激しい日々が続きます。体調を悪くする人も多いようです。今年はスーパーエルニーニョ現象が発生すると言われています。夏はもっと変化が激しい気候になるかも知れません。
クルミは寒いのかベッドに潜り込んで一日中眠っていました。

Today was another cool day with cold rain from the morning. The temperature has dropped by 15 degrees Celsius since yesterday, and at night it’s cool enough to heat the room with a stove. There have been days with extreme temperature changes. It seems that many people get sick. It is said that a super El Niño phenomenon will occur this year. Summer can be even more volatile.
Kurumi crawled into bed and slept all day because it was cold.

気温が高い日が多かったためか、今年はジュンベリーの実が早く赤くなりました。若葉の緑がとても鮮やかです。クルミは病院でワクチン接種をうけてきました。待合室にはとても大きな犬がいました。とても珍しい犬種です。クルミは注射を受けて疲れたのか帰宅したらぐっすりと眠っていました。

Junberry fruits turned red early this year, probably because there were many days with high temperatures. The young leaves are very bright green. Kurumi has been vaccinated at the hospital. There was a very large dog in the waiting room. A very rare dog breed. Kurumi was asleep soundly when he got home after receiving the injection.

電車とバスを乗り継いで、下町の施設を訪れました。近所の知り合いの F ご夫妻がこの施設に入られたと聞いて面会に行ってきました。残念ながら奥様とは会話をすることはできませんでしたが、ご主人とは会話することができて、短い間でしたが、娘さんとも近況を語り合うことができました。私より 16 歳年上のご主人は元気でした。帰りにはホールまで見送ってくれました。夫婦で一緒に入ることができて本当に良かったと思います。
帰宅してクルミとおもちゃで遊ぶことができました。昨夜も少し暑かったのか何度か起きたクルミも寝不足なのか、すぐに昼寝していました。

I took trains and buses to visit facilities in the downtown area. I heard that Mr. and Mrs. F, who are acquaintances in the neighborhood, have moved into this facility, so I went to visit them. Unfortunately, I was not able to have a conversation with Mrs. F, but I was able to have a conversation with Mr. F, and although it was only for a short time, I was able to catch up with his daughter. He is 16 years older than me, was fine. On the way back, he saw me off to the hall. I’m so glad that they were able to enter together.
I was able to come home and play with Kurumi using toys. It was a little hot last night, and Kurumi woke up a few times didn’t sleep enough, so he took a nap right away.

クルミと過ごす日曜日は穏やかな時間が流れます。今日も私たちの近くでのんびりと過ごしていました。気温の変化も少なく、クルミは体調を崩すことなく安定しています。
今夜は妻と行きつけの寿司屋に行きました。今日は新鮮なほやが入ったということで、妻は好物のほやを堪能していました。黄砂の季節はアレルギーが出て苦しそうにしている妻ですが、今夜は美味しい寿司でリラックスしていました。

Tonight, my wife and I went to our favorite sushi restaurant. My wife was enjoying her favorite sea squirt as fresh sea squirt was available today. My wife is suffering from allergies during the yellow dust season, but tonight she was relaxed with delicious sushi.

今日は昨日よりも気温が 10 ℃も下がり、肌寒いくらいの天気になりました。午後からは雨も降ってきました。クルミは寝室が暑かったのか昨夜は何度か目覚めてしまいました。今日は部屋の中で過ごしています。
広島で開催されている G7 サミットにウクライナからゼレンスキー大統領が来日することになりました。リモートで参加するように言われていましたが、やはり対面での話し合いの方が効果的だということなのでしょう。私は今日もリモートで業務をしました。コロナ禍も終わり、会社に机が戻ることも考えられます。でももう、毎日通勤することは避けたいものです。

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Japan for the G7 Summit in Hiroshima. I was told to participate remotely, but it seems that face-to-face discussions are more effective. I worked remotely today as well. The corona misfortune is over, and it is also considered that the desk will return to the company. However, I don’t want to commute to work every day anymore.

今日は昨日よりも気温が高くなり、ついにクーラーを使い始めました。ついこの前までは涼しくてストーブを使っていたのですが、この気温の急変に身体が慣れません。クルミは寒いよりも暖かい方が好きなのですが、夏のような暑さにはクルミも驚いています。
日本では明日から G7 サミットが広島で開催されます。議長国である日本の広島で開催されることには大きな意義があると私は思います。特に、ウクライナとロシアの戦争では「核」という言葉が聞かれるなか、絶対に核兵器が使用されてはいけません。広島、長崎で起きたことは地球上で最後のことにすべきです。

Today was warmer than yesterday and I finally started using the cooler. Until recently, it was cool and I was using the stove, but my body can’t get used to this sudden change in temperature. Kurumi prefers warm to cold, but summer-like heat surprises him too.
In Japan, the G7 Summit will be held in Hiroshima from tomorrow. I think there is great significance in holding this meeting in Hiroshima, Japan, which is the host country. Especially when the word “nuclear” is heard in the war between Ukraine and Russia, nuclear weapons must never be used. What happened in Hiroshima and Nagasaki should be the last thing on the earth.

クルミには家で待っていてもらい妻の通院に一緒に行きました。去年の年末に怪我をして 5 ヶ月になりました。今日の診断で完治したことになりました。骨を折ると治るまで時間がかかります。これからは気をつけて、もう骨を折らないように願います。帰宅したらクルミはケージの中で熟睡していました。
今度の週末に F さんのお見舞いに行きます。F さんにプレゼントを用意しました。芝犬のおもちゃですが、言葉を不自由にされた F さんのためになればと思い、これを用意してみました。喜んでくれるといいのですが。
夕方は日曜大工仕事をしてきました。知り合いのシェフの厨房に取り付けられている棚が外れかけていましたが、これで安心して料理に専念してもらえることでしょう。

I asked Kurumi to wait at home and went with my wife to the hospital. It’s been 5 months since wife got injured at the end of last year. Today’s diagnosis has made a full recovery. A broken bone takes time to heal. I hope that she will be careful from now on and that she will not break any more bones. When we got home, Kurumi was sound asleep in the cage.
I will visit F-san coming weekend. I prepared a present for her. As for the Shiba Inu toy, I thought it would be helpful for F-san, she has a speech impediment, so I prepared this. I hope she likes it.
I’ve been working on carpentry in the evening. A shelf attached to the kitchen of a friend of mine’s chef was about to come off, but now he can concentrate on cooking with peace of mind.
