今日は啓蟄、春になって土の中で縮こまっていた虫(蟄)が穴を開いて(啓いて)動き出す日です。具体的には、日本人が「さぁ働くぞ」と意気込み始める日のことを言いうそうです。確かに、暖かくなってくると活動的になります。私も最近はよく外を歩くようになりました。庭に植えたヒヤシンスの芽も土の中から顔を出してきました。午後、息子夫婦からの Face Time が入り、クルミはキョロキョロしていました。耳が聞こえなくなっているのですが、ある周波数の音は聞こえる様子です。もう少し暖かくなったらクルミを連れて公園に行きます。

朝から机に向かって仕事をしていました。午後の電話会議を終えてから少し歩いてみました。今まで行ったことのない小高い丘まで歩くと汗をかいてしまいます。風が少し強い午後でしたが身体を動かすことができました。クルミもソファーの上で眠っていたので起こして庭に出してやりました。今日もテレビではプーチン、ウクライナ、コロナ、といった話題で持ちきりでした。ロシアではフェイクニュースが国営テレビで流されているそうですが、情報がどこで変わってしまうか、怖い世の中だと感じています。何が本当で何が嘘なのか。最後は自分で確かめるしかありません。

It was a little windy afternoon, but I was able to take exercise my body. Kurumi was sleeping on the sofa, so I woke him up and took Kurumi out to the garden. It seems that fake news is broadcast on national television in Russia, but I feel that it is a scary world where information will change. What is true and what is a lie? At the end, I have to check for myself.

今日は夕方から厚い雲が出てきました。風も冷たくなってきて、明日からはまた少し寒い日が続きそうです。夕方、シンガポールに住む息子から嬉しい知らせが来ました。月曜の午後、こちらから発送した荷物が今日の午後、到着したそうです。たった 72 時間で日本からシンガポールに送れたのはこれまでの記録かもしれません。人間は空港に着いてもその後、隔離の期間があるので、人間よりも早かったことになります。クルミは今日も元気に遊んでいました。最近は食欲が出てきたのか、私たちがキッチンにいると寄ってきます。まだ、何か食べたそうにしています。

今日も太陽の暖かさが嬉しい朝になりました。クルミは陽の光が眩しそうにしていました。テレビのニュースではウクライナに侵攻しているロシアの事件が朝から晩まで報じられています。そして、コロナウイルスによる新規感染者の数が下がらないことも報じられています。このようなニュースを見ていると憂鬱になってきます。そんな時はクルミと遊んでいます。無邪気なクルミと一緒に遊んでいると憂鬱な気分は晴れてきます。季節は春、暖かくなって気分良く過ごしたいものです。

ロシアとウクライナの間で交渉の場が持たれたことは嬉しいニュースです。しかし、停戦には至らず交渉は継続されるとのことです。既に多くの民間人が犠牲になっていて、一刻も早くこの戦争が終わることを願っています。私にはこうして願うことしかできません。今日は赤ちゃんを連れて友人家族が家に来てくれました。まだ生まれて 1 月の赤ちゃんです。私たちが可愛がっているとクルミはやきもちをやいたのか、近寄ってきて抱っこをせがみます。安心したのか妻の腕のなかで眠ってしまいました。

Perhaps Kurumi was flirting when we were cute her, he came closer and asked for a hug. Maybe he was relieved, Kurumi fell asleep in my wife’s arms.

会社の事務所でレイアウト変更が行われることになりました。これまで使っていた自分の机はなくなり、いわゆるオープンスペースとなって、どの机を使っても良いことになります。コロナウイルスの感染対策で始まったリモートワークが定着してきて、会社に来る人が激減しています。全員の机を用意しておくのは無駄なので納得です。この機会に机の引き出しの中を全部出して整理してきました。クルミは今日も暖かいリビングで昼寝を楽しんでいたようです。

Remote work, which started with coronavirus infection control, has become established, and the number of people coming to the company is drastically decreasing. It’s useless to have everyone’s desks, so I’m convinced. I took this opportunity to take out all from the drawers of my desk and organize them. It seems that Kurumi enjoyed taking a nap in the warm living room today.

今日は暖かな日となりました。それでもまだ夜は冷えるので薪ストーブを使っています。薪が少なくなってきたのでインターネットで調べて近くの薪店に行ってみました。乾いていて直ぐに燃やせる薪があるとのことでクルミも連れてお出かけです。思ったよりも家から近いところにあって、これからも急に’薪が必要となった時には利用できます。道すがらに見つけたレストラン Houseleek にはテラス席があってクルミと一緒にランチをいただくことができました。人気のあるレストランのようで、私たちが帰る時は待っている人が並んでいました。今度は平日に来ることにします。

I heard that there is firewood that is dry and can be burned immediately, so I went out with Kurumi. It’s closer to my house than I expected, and I can use it when I suddenly need firewood. The restaurant Houseleek I found along the way had terrace seats and we were able to have lunch with Kurumi. It looks like a popular restaurant, with people waiting in line when we return. Next time we will come on weekdays.

暖かい日差しを庭で楽しむことができたクルミはご機嫌でした。少し強い風が吹いてきましたが、春の暖かさを感じました。公園の桜の木の蕾はまだ小いままでした。桜の開花まではもう 1 ヶ月のようです。今週も穏やかで幸せな日々を送れたことに感謝します。

今日、ロシアがウクライナの首都キエフに侵攻しました。歴史の教科書に残るような事件です。プーチンの言い分もありますが、武力行使は本当に良くないことです。平和に暮らす民間人も犠牲になっているとニュースでは報じられています。温かい部屋で食事をしながらこのようなことをテレビで観ていると不思議な気分になります。地球上で苦しんでいる人がいることを知って心苦しくなります。クルミと穏やかに過ごせる日々に感謝します。

The news reports that civilians living in peace are also being sacrificed. Watching something like this on TV while eating in a warm room makes me feel strange. It’s painful to know that there are people on earth who are suffering. Thanks for my peaceful days with Kurumi.

クルミのトリミングの日、妻と一緒にクルミを送り届けてから家までの帰り道、散歩をしてみました。ご近所の庭に咲き始めている梅の花、沈丁花を見て春が近いことを感じました。寒波も明日で終わり、週末は暖かくなる予報が出ています。クルミはトリミングしている間、痛がることは無かったようで安心しました。今日も綺麗なバンダナを首に巻いてもらってクルミはご機嫌でした。
