クルミは時間が分かるようです。食事の時間 30 分前になるとソワソワして食事時間まで待てないようにしています。そして食事が終わるとおもちゃで遊びながら眠ってしまいます。寝顔が可愛いです。
妻と食材の買い物にでかけました。畑の近くにある店では地場野菜を買うことができます。近くの畑では夏の虫がたくさん鳴いていました。昼はマクドナルドで済ませることにしました。イートインコーナーには子供が書いた短冊が飾ってあります。七夕ではこのような短冊に祈りを込めて飾ります。可愛いものや現実味いっぱいのものまであって、昼食を摂りながら呼んでいました。

Kurumi seems to understand the concept of time. When it’s 30 minutes before mealtime, he gets restless and can’t wait for the meal. And after finishing his meal, he falls asleep while playing with his toys. His sleeping face is adorable.
I went out with my wife to buy groceries. There’s a store near the field where we can buy locally grown vegetables. There were many summer insects chirping near the field. We decided to have lunch at McDonald’s. In the eat-in area, there were paper strips decorated by children. During the Tanabata festival, we decorate these paper strips with prayers. They ranged from cute to realistic, and we read them while having lunch.

ドアフォンのカメラ側が壊れてしまい交換しました。10年前に取り付けたものなのですが、風雨にさらされて、強い陽に耐えてきたので仕方がありません。カメラ部の内部にあるハウリング防止フィルムが劣化して破けていました。今日は曇り空の一日でした。湿度が高く、少し動くと汗が出てきます。
クルミはおもちゃで遊んでいたかと思うと昼寝をしています。クルミにとっても不快な天気の一日です。

The camera unit of the intercom was broken, so I replaced it. It was installed ten years ago and has been exposed to the wind and rain, enduring strong sunlight, so it couldn’t be helped. The anti-howling film inside the camera unit had deteriorated and torn. Today was a cloudy day. The humidity was high, and I started sweating a little when I moved.
Kurumi was playing with a toy, and now he’s taking a nap. It’s an uncomfortable weather day for him too.

今日も晴れて暑い一日となりました。今日は仕事を休んで湖のほとりにある公園のラベンダーを見にドライブしました。富士山が見える公園なのですが、今日は大きな雲が被っていて山頂を見ることはできませんでした。でも、ラベンダーが見頃となっていて、多くの観光客で賑わっていました。ラベンダーの花の色と香りに癒されたひと時でした。
クルミは朝食を食べてから出かけて、夕方 4 時の昼食までに帰宅できたことで安心していたようです。いつでも一緒に行動するのですが、今日は暑かったので気をつけながらの行動でした。

It was another sunny and hot day today. I took a break from work and drove to the park by the lake to see the lavender. It’s a park where I can see Mt. Fuji, but today it was covered by big clouds and I couldn’t see the summit. However, the lavender was in full bloom, and it was bustling with many tourists. It was a moment of relaxation, surrounded by the colors and fragrance of the lavender flowers.
Kurumi seemed relieved that he left after breakfast and got home before lunch at 4:00 in the afternoon. We always do things together, but today we were cautious because of the heat.

通訳の業務を請け負っていると最近の翻訳技術が気になります。朝刊の記事では駅の窓口に同時翻訳して文字で表示する技術が紹介されていました。このような需要はたくさんあると思うので技術の進歩も早いことだと思います。きっと近い将来には通訳は人に頼らず、機械による同時通訳になっていくことでしょう。今日は業務の関係で外出する時間が’長くなりました。
クルミは私が帰ってくると直ぐに寄ってきて甘えていました。

I am concerned about the latest translation technology when I am undertaking interpreting work. An article in the morning paper introduced a technology for simultaneously translating and displaying text at the station window. I think there is a lot of such demand, so I think that the progress of technology is also fast. I believe that in the near future, interpreters will no longer rely on human beings, but will use machines for simultaneous interpreting. Today, due to work, the time to go out has become longer.
As soon as I came back, Kurumi came to me and spoiled me.

ガラスを素材として扱う会社との仕事を始めました。今日は打ち合わせで会社のロビーを訪れ、そこにあったガラス製の地球儀に見惚れてしまいました。製品の品質に関するお手伝いをさせていただきます。このような素晴らしい物を作る技術がある会社ですから、一緒に働けることが楽しみです。
クルミとは遊べない一日となってしまいましたが、帰宅してから少しの時間、一緒に遊ぶことができました。

I started working with a company that treats glass as a material. Today, I visited the company lobby for a meeting and fell in love with the glass globe that was there. I am happy to help them with product quality. I am looking forward to working with a company that has the technology to create such wonderful things.
It was a day when I couldn’t play with Kurumi, but after I got home, I was able to play with him for a little while.

昨夜は雷鳴がひどく、目を覚ましてしまいました。カーテン越しに閃光が光ると同時に雷鳴が轟き、雷雲の中にいることがわかりました。天気アプリでも多くの雷雲が発生していることが分かります。後で知ったことですが、竜巻注意報も発せられていたようです。何事も無く安心しました。
クルミは耳が聞こえないので雷も怖くありません。昨夜も熟睡していました。

There was a thunderstorm last night that woke me up. There was a flash of light through the curtain and a roar of thunder, and I knew I was in a thundercloud. I could see that many thunderclouds are occurring even in the weather app. As I learned later, a tornado warning was also issued. I was relieved that there was nothing.
Kurumi is deaf, so he is not afraid of thunder. He slept well last night too.

電気自動車を乗るようになってから、短い距離でも車で行くようになってしまいました。ガソリン車だと、短時間の運転のためにエンジンを始動することが憚れていました。しかし、電気自動車になってからはスイッチを入れて動かすことが苦では無くなりました。走りもスムースなので快適です。そんなこともあって、自転車に乗らなくなってしまいました。今日、久しぶりに駅前のクリニックまで自転車を走らせました。暑い午後でしたが、風を感じて、新鮮でした。この自転車にも乗ってあげないといけません。
クルミは今日も気持ちよさそうに昼寝をしています。

Since I started using the electric car, I have been able to go by car even for short distances. With a gasoline car, I was hesitant to start the engine for a short drive. However, since it became an electric, it is no longer painful to turn on the switch and move. It runs smoothly and is comfortable. That’s why I stopped riding my bike. Today, I ran a bicycle to the clinic in front of the station for the first time in a while. It was a hot afternoon, but I felt the breeze and felt fresh. I have to ride this bicycle too.
Kurumi is taking a nap today as well.

一日平均 7 時間も座っているのは日本人で、これは世界一だということを知りました。他の国の人に比べると日本人は座っている時間が長いという結果です。確かに、私も座っている時間が長いように思います。理由は分かりませんが、あまり活動的では無いのかも知れません。
陽射しが強くとても暑い日でしたが、陽が陰った夕方は涼しい風があり、とても過ごしやすくなりました。クルミと庭にでることもできました。クルミの写真を撮ろうと思うといつも眠っています。今日は私も短い時間ですが昼寝をすることができました。

I learned that Japanese sit for an average of 7 hours a day, which is the logest in the world. The results show that Japanese people spend more time sitting than people from other countries. I certainly find myself sitting too long. I don’t know why, but maybe they aren’t very active.
It was a very hot day with strong sunlight, but there was a cool breeze in the evening when the sun was dark, making it very comfortable. I was able to go out to the garden with Kurumi. Whenever I try to take a picture of him, he is always sleeping. I was able to take a short nap today too.

クルミはベッドに入って眠ることが好きです。暑い日でもベッドに入るのですが、しばらくすると暑くなったのか出てきてしまいます。少しでも涼しいベッドを探してみました。中のクッションを外せるのでカバーは洗濯できて便利そうです。今日も湿度が高い日でしたが、陽射しがなかったので気温はあまり高くなりませんでした。明日は陽射しが戻って暑い日になるようです。

Kurumi likes to sleep in bed. Even on a hot day, He goes to bed, but after a while he will come out because he got hot. I tried to find a cool bed. The inner cushion can be removed, so the cover can be washed and it seems convenient. It was another humid day, but there was no sunlight, so the temperature didn’t rise too high. It looks like tomorrow will be a hot day with the sunshine back.

今日も蒸し暑い一日でした。雨に降られても良いように大きい傘を持って移動したのですが、結局、傘を開く必要はありませんでした。夕食は友人がアレンジしてくれた旧友との再会の場となりました。以前、一緒に働いていた人が違う会社で成長している姿を見ることができて幸せでした。若い人が成長する姿を見ることができるのは嬉しいことです。
会話が長引いて、帰宅した時間は遅くなりました。クルミは既に熟睡です。

Today was another hot and humid day. I carried a large umbrella with me just in case it rained, but in the end I didn’t need to open it. Dinner was a reunion with an old friend arranged by a friend. I was happy to see people I worked with before grow up in different companies. It’s nice to see young people grow.
The conversation dragged on and I got home late. Kurumi is already sound asleep.
