トランプ大統領が Twitter で思いを発信しています。大統領が ? と当時思った人も多かったと思いますが、インターネットのおかげでブログや他の SNS を使って何を考えているか広く発信することができるようになりました。私も会社ではメールや社内ブログを使ってエッセーとして毎週発信してきました。VP というタイトルを持つと、従業員からは「雲の上の人」と言われてしまうことがあります。そんな人間が何を考え、どう思うか、公にすることで距離を短くしたいと思って始めました。200 を超える短文は今でも思い出となっています。これからはここで呟いていきましょう。

We have surprised knowing that president Trump uses the Twitter to communicate his thinks.  It has been easy expedite the personal comments and opinions using those ways through the internet technology.  I also used the intranet to communicate my thinking to employees weekly.  Likewise that people feels difficulty what those executives have the opinion or the way of think.  That was the reason I also tried to publish the sentences.  Let me keep here my blog writing things.

1975 年 4 月に社会人生活を始めてから 43 年が経ちます。今日をもって正社員という形での社会人生活に終止符を打つこととしました。当時は定年が 55 歳が当たり前でしたが、今では 65 歳となりました。私は今年の 6 月で 64 歳を迎えます。この辺りで、将来を見据えて少しアクセルを緩め、スローライフへのギアポジションを選ぶこととしました。とても有難いことなのですが、これまでの職場、会社で引き続き、お手伝いさせていただける機会を得ました。パートタイムですが、私に社会貢献できるならとても幸せなことです。そして、これからは家族のために多くの時間を割こうと思います。これまで一緒に時間を共にしていただいた方々に感謝して止みません。

I finished the work (as the official employee) today.  It has been about 43 years since I joined to the first company in 1975 April.  I will be 64 on June this year and the retirement age became now 65 this company.  I have decided to change the gear position to lower speed of my life at this stage.  I really hope be able to contribute society using my skill and experience.  I am glad to receive other offer even it is the part time work at this company.  Let me keep more time for my family from now on.  Best wish to all.

キッチンの水栓、シャワー機能が便利なのですが、水量が少ないと綺麗なシャワーになりません。そこで穴を少し塞いでみることにしました。穴の大きさは 0.5mm 程度ですので、そこにピタリと嵌るステンレスの針金を入れてみました。折り曲げることで 2 つの穴を同時に塞ぎ、針金が出てくる心配もありません。結果は良好ですが、切り口が綺麗ではないので水が回り込んでしまいます。リューターがあると磨けるのですが。当面はこれで使ってみることとします。

It is good to have the shower for dish wash and others but I needed to have this with more less water flow.  There are many holes at the outlet so tried to close some of them to function with less water flow.  The size of holes are about 0.5mm so I used the wire to fit.  Let me see how this goes.

今月末で退職することを機会に今まで持っていなかったスマートフォンを購入しました。5 年間、会社の業務で貸与されていたスマホを使ううちに以前の携帯電話が使い辛くなってしまいました。iPhone を使っていたので、その最新版にしました。手のひらに乗るパソコンです。とっても多くの機能があり、全ては覚えられそうにありません。これからは少し時間ができます、楽しんで使いたいと思います。セキュリティーもきちんとしなければいけません。

I finally purchased the new phone at the different carrier.  I now can not use the traditional cell phone because the company provided me the smart phone last 5 years.  Due to my retirement at this company I decided to switch the phone.  Amazing function it has like a PC.  Well I try to be used to it with security features. 

晴天の週末、久しぶりにクルミを連れてレストランへ。テラスでランチとしました。陽射しがあって暖かでしたが、時折吹く風は未だ冷たいです。家の庭に目をやるとクロッカスが花を付け、チューリップの芽が大きくなっています。金柑は味が濃くなったようで、ところどころ鳥が食べていました。春はもうすぐそこまで。来週また雪のマークが出ていますが、積もらないことを願います。

We brought Kurumi outside for the lunch today.  The sun presented warm but the wind sometime feels so cold.  There are some evidences at my garden that the spring comes very soon.  I hope there will be no more snow in this season.

今日は北風が寒い祝日となりました。幸いなことに陽射しは暖かく、窓辺で犬たちもお昼寝です。プリンの容体、徐々に悪くなっていて、咳をする度に心配です。

It was very cold today monday but we appreciated the sun a lot through the window.  Dogs are taking nap.  Purin is stable but slowly he has been getting worse slowly and slowly.  We are with him everyday.

妻の車の排気、最近ススが多くなり気になってました、アイドリングも少し息をつく感じです。ディーラーのテクニシャンの勧めで添加剤を入れることにしました。メーカー純正ではありませんが、これで少し様子を見ようと思います。口コミを読んでいると、このような調子で添加剤を入れている人も多いようです。妻はチョイ乗りが多いことと、この車にはアイドリングストップが付いています。私は車のアイドリングストップは燃焼機関にとって酷なことなのでは、と思っています。

The soot from the car getting badly so I finally decided to put the agent to the fuel.  This was suggested by the mechanic at the service shop.  Let see how this goes.

住宅地で薪ストーブを燃やしています。近隣の皆さんに迷惑をかけないよう、煙を出さず、煤も最小限にと心がけています。今シーズンの薪は少し湿っていて、どうしても煤が出てしまいました。週末の仕事として今日は煙突掃除です。垂直一本棒の煙突にしたのでメンテナンスも楽です。掃除道具を使うのも慣れてきました。そして、今年のグローブ、3M の製品ですが、使い勝手が良いです。さて、これでまたしばらく安心して燃やせます。

I am maintaining the chimney a few times in the season to reduce the soot.  This is because neighborhoods in this area.  The chimney is just straight from the stove so it is very easy to clean using the tool.

毎年、数回は降雪がある関東地方、1 月 23 日の雪がまだ残っているところに雪が積もりました。今回は少ない積雪だったのと昼間の暖かさで道路に雪は残らず、助かりました。

Here there are a few times getting snow this area.  We had again this week since there are remaining snow from the last storm.  But it was not so large and the temperature got warm at a day time so the snow has been gone already. 

寒い日が続いています。このような天気の日はウチで薪ストーブの暖かさが最高です。１週間分の薪を用意しました。灯けはじめはいつもはらはらドキドキです。でも最近は良い着火剤があるので便利です。

It has been cold days this week.  I like the stove warming in the room at this cold day.  I have prepared the woods for next one week.
