ガレージのオーバーオーバードアを開閉するリモートコントローラーが使い辛かったので、WiFi 経由で制御できるような工夫を施してみました。WiFi で 4 つのリレーを制御できるモジュールを入手して、ガレージの手動スイッチに接続しました。これで遠隔でも操作できるので、閉め忘れた時でも安心です。ガレージには防犯カメラもありますから開閉の状態を監視することができます。今日も初夏のような暖かい日でした。陽が影ってきた時間にクルミくんを庭に出してやりました。芝生に緑色が戻ってきています。

The remote controller that opens and closes the garage overdoor was hard to use sometime, so I made a connection to control it via WiFi. I got a module that can control 4 relays via WiFi and connected it to the manual switch in the garage. This allows me to control it remotely, even if I forget to close it. There is also a security camera in the garage so I can monitor the opening and closing status. Today was another warm day like early summer. I took Kurumi out in the garden when the sun was shining. The lawn is starting to look green again.

今日は初夏のような気温になりました。この暖かさで虫や鳥も賑やかになってきました。電柱に止まった小鳥は朝から囀っていてます。まるでパートナーを探しているかのようでした。私は車を洗って、窓ガラスにコーティング処理を施してみました。フロントガラスは諦めました。取扱説明書には「輸入車には施工しないこと」と記載されています。ワイパーの構造が異なるのでビビり音が出てしまうそうです。クルミくんはお腹が空くと、餌をもらうまで妻の顔を見続けています。そして食べ終わると眠ってしまいます。今日も元気に過ごしています。

Today the temperature is like early summer. Insects and birds have become more lively with this warmth. A small bird perched at a pole has been singing since this morning. It was as if it was looking for a partner. I washed my car and gave the windows a coating treatment. I gave up on the front glass. The instruction manual states, “Do not apply to imported cars.” They say that the structure of the wiper is different and it makes a chattering sound. When Kurumi gets hungry, he keeps looking at my wife’s face until he gets food. Then, when he finishes eating, he goes to sleep. He is doing well today.

明け方は暴風雨に見舞われました。各地で強風による影響が出たようです。家の窓は雨に叩きつけられてびしょ濡れです。そんな天気も昼過ぎから急速に回復しました。気温も急上昇して桜も咲き始めています。暖かさに誘われて近くの公園までカメラを持って出かけました。クルミくんも久しぶりに公園を歩いて嬉しそうでした。

At dawn, we were hit by a storm. It seems that strong winds affected many places. The windows of my house were drenched from the rain. The weather recovered quickly after noon. The temperature has risen sharply and the cherry blossoms are beginning to bloom. Invited by the warmth, I took my camera to a nearby park. Kurumi looked happy to walk in the park for the first time in a while.

クルミくんはとても寂しがりやになってしまいました。短い時間でも一人でいることができずに、私たちを探し回っています。このように育ててしまった私たちに責任があるかも知れません。でも、クルミくんは 14 歳を越した老犬、これからも甘えさせてやろうと思います。今日は隣の県にある会社の工場で仕事をしてきました。片道 70km のほとんどは高速道路で行けるので助かります。大きな渋滞もなく、安心しました。

Kurumi has become very lonely. He cannot be alone even for a short time and is always looking for us. We may be responsible for raising him like this. But Kurumi is an old dog over 14 years old, and we will continue to spoil him. Today I went to work at a factory of a company in the next prefecture. Most of the 70 km one-way trip can be done on the expressway, which is a big help. There was no major traffic jam, which was a relief.

今日は朝から快晴、太陽の暖かさがありがたい一日でした。この気温で桜も咲き始めたようです。庭の水仙も花を咲かせました。今日も事務所に行って仕事をしていたので、ゆっくりと外を歩くことはできませんでした。明日からまた天気が悪くなるようです。週末は公園に桜を見に行けることを願っています。クルミくんは今日も元気に遊んでいました。

Today was a clear and sunny morning, and we were thankful for the warmth of the sun. With this temperature, the cherry blossoms seem to have started blooming. The daffodils in my garden have also bloomed. I went to the office to work today, so I was not able to take a leisurely walk outside. The weather is going to get worse again tomorrow. I hope we can go to the park this weekend to see the cherry blossoms. Kurumi was playing energetically today.

今日も一日、冷たい雨が降る寒い日でした。会社から帰宅して直ぐに薪ストーブで部屋を温めました。クルミくんは今日も元気に遊んでいたようです。私が帰宅しても昼寝から起きてはきませんでした。私は、今週も毎日、業務があって忙しい時間を過ごしています。

It was another cold and rainy day. I warmed up the room with a wood stove as soon as I came home from work. Kurumi seemed to be playing energetically today. He did not wake up from his nap when I came home. I have been busy with business every day this week.

今日は以前に一緒に働いていた人とのビジネス会食をしてきました。気がつけば 9 年もの時間が経過していましたが、以前と同様の話ができました。世の中の動きは激しく、以前とは異なる解決策があることを知ることができて有意義な時間でした。今日は、クルミくんとの時間は短く、彼がトリミングから帰ってきた一時を過ごすことだけでした。

Today I had a business dinner with someone I used to work with. I realized that 9 years had passed, but we were able to talk as we used to. The world moves fast and it was meaningful to know that there are different solutions than before. Today, my time with Kurumi was short, only to spend a moment when he came home from his trimming.

庭の睡蓮鉢の中に広がった藻を取り去って、綺麗にしてみました。金魚も大きくなって、元気に泳いでいます。水を全部抜いて、鉢の中を洗いました。底には睡蓮の芽が出てきています。今年も花を楽しませてくれるか心配です。睡蓮は育てるのが難しいです。私のように放っておいてはダメなのでしょう。クルミくんを庭に出してやりました。右足おの具合は相変わらずですが、裏返ることは少なくなりました。庭で遊んだ後はベッドに入って昼寝をしていました。

I removed the algae spread in the water lily pot in the garden and cleaned them up. The goldfish have grown and are swimming well. I drained all the water and washed the inside of the pot. Water lilies are sprouting at the bottom. I am worried if they will show their flowers again this year. Water lilies are difficult to grow. I guess I should not leave them alone like I do. I took Kurumi out to the garden. His right foot is as bad as ever, but his foot does not turn over anymore. After playing in the garden, he went to bed and took a nap.

今日は午後から雨になる予報だったので、早くから薪ストーブに火を入れました。ところが、雨は降らず、時々陽がさす天気となっています。乾燥する日が続いていたので少し雨で湿度が上がることを期待しています。最近は通信販売で物を買うことが多くなりました。店頭に行っても手に入らない物も通信販売なら手にいれることができます。雑誌を読んでいて、紀州南高梅を使った梅酒が美味しそうだったので注文してしまいました。年間 800 本しか作らないブランド品、届いた瓶を開けるのが楽しみです。クルミくんは暖かくなったリビングで元気に遊んでいます。

Today, the forecast was for rain in the afternoon, so I started to use the wood stove early. However, it did not rain, and the weather has been sunny from time to time. I am hoping that the rain will raise the humidity a little since we have been having a series of dry days. Recently, I have been buying more and more things by mail order. I can get things by mail order that I can’t get in stores. When I was reading a magazine, I ordered a plum wine made from Kishu Nanko ume that looked delicious. I am looking forward to opening the bottle. Kurumi is playing happily in the warm living room.

今日は息子の誕生日、彼も 47 歳となる。私も歳を取るはずで、あと数ヶ月で 70 になる。歳のことは考えないようにしているが、こればかりは仕方ない。歳相応の生き方を心がけたいと考えてしまう。朝、鏡に映る自分の顔を見てそんなことを思っていた。帰宅して庭の水仙が咲き始めていることに気づいた。週末は雨となりそう。水仙の花は週明けには楽しめるかも知れない。クルミくんは今日も元気に遊んでいた。

Today is my son’s birthday, he is now 47th. I am getting older, too, and will be 70th in a few months. I try not to think about my age, but it’s just the way it is. I try not to think about my age, but I can’t help but think that I should try to live my life according to my age. I thought about this when I looked at my face in the mirror this morning. When I came home back, I noticed that the daffodils in my garden had begun to bloom. It looks like it will rain over the weekend. We may be able to enjoy the daffodils sometime next week. Kurumi was playing energetically today, too.
