会社の事務所でレイアウト変更が行われることになりました。これまで使っていた自分の机はなくなり、いわゆるオープンスペースとなって、どの机を使っても良いことになります。コロナウイルスの感染対策で始まったリモートワークが定着してきて、会社に来る人が激減しています。全員の机を用意しておくのは無駄なので納得です。この機会に机の引き出しの中を全部出して整理してきました。クルミは今日も暖かいリビングで昼寝を楽しんでいたようです。

The layout will be changed at the office of the company. My desk that I used to use is gone, and it becomes a so-called open space, and I can use any desk. Remote work, which started with coronavirus infection control, has become established, and the number of people coming to the company is drastically decreasing. It’s useless to have everyone’s desks, so I’m convinced. I took this opportunity to take out all from the drawers of my desk and organize them. It seems that Kurumi enjoyed taking a nap in the warm living room today.

今日は暖かな日となりました。それでもまだ夜は冷えるので薪ストーブを使っています。薪が少なくなってきたのでインターネットで調べて近くの薪店に行ってみました。乾いていて直ぐに燃やせる薪があるとのことでクルミも連れてお出かけです。思ったよりも家から近いところにあって、これからも急に’薪が必要となった時には利用できます。道すがらに見つけたレストラン Houseleek にはテラス席があってクルミと一緒にランチをいただくことができました。人気のあるレストランのようで、私たちが帰る時は待っている人が並んでいました。今度は平日に来ることにします。

It was a warm day today. Even so, it still gets cold at night, so I use a wood stove. I’m running out of firewood, so I looked it up on the internet and went to a nearby firewood store. I heard that there is firewood that is dry and can be burned immediately, so I went out with Kurumi. It’s closer to my house than I expected, and I can use it when I suddenly need firewood. The restaurant Houseleek I found along the way had terrace seats and we were able to have lunch with Kurumi. It looks like a popular restaurant, with people waiting in line when we return. Next time we will come on weekdays.

暖かい日差しを庭で楽しむことができたクルミはご機嫌でした。少し強い風が吹いてきましたが、春の暖かさを感じました。公園の桜の木の蕾はまだ小いままでした。桜の開花まではもう 1 ヶ月のようです。今週も穏やかで幸せな日々を送れたことに感謝します。

Kurumi was in a good mood to enjoy the warm sunlight in the garden today. A little strong wind blew, but we felt the warmth of spring. The buds of the cherry trees in the park are still small. It seems that it will be another month before the cherry blossoms bloom. Thanks for having a calm and happy day this week as well.

今日、ロシアがウクライナの首都キエフに侵攻しました。歴史の教科書に残るような事件です。プーチンの言い分もありますが、武力行使は本当に良くないことです。平和に暮らす民間人も犠牲になっているとニュースでは報じられています。温かい部屋で食事をしながらこのようなことをテレビで観ていると不思議な気分になります。地球上で苦しんでいる人がいることを知って心苦しくなります。クルミと穏やかに過ごせる日々に感謝します。

Today, Russia has invaded Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. It’s an incident that remains in history textbooks. Putin’s argument is that the use of force is really bad. The news reports that civilians living in peace are also being sacrificed. Watching something like this on TV while eating in a warm room makes me feel strange. It’s painful to know that there are people on earth who are suffering. Thanks for my peaceful days with Kurumi.

クルミのトリミングの日、妻と一緒にクルミを送り届けてから家までの帰り道、散歩をしてみました。ご近所の庭に咲き始めている梅の花、沈丁花を見て春が近いことを感じました。寒波も明日で終わり、週末は暖かくなる予報が出ています。クルミはトリミングしている間、痛がることは無かったようで安心しました。今日も綺麗なバンダナを首に巻いてもらってクルミはご機嫌でした。

On the day of trimming for Kurumi today, I sent him with my wife and took a walk on the way back to home. I felt that spring was almost there when I saw the plum blossoms and daphne flowers that were beginning to bloom in my neighborhood garden. It is forecast that the cold wave will end tomorrow and it will be warmer on coming weekends. I was relieved that Kurumi didn’t hurt while trimming. He was in a good mood today as he had a beautiful bandana wrapped around his neck.

クルミは先週のフォローアップ診断を受けに獣医を訪れました。院長を希望する犬が多いので待ち時間が長いのは通常のことです。妻が待合室で待っている間、クルミと私は車内にいました。今日も気温は低い日でしたが、快晴のために、車内はとても暖かでした。院長は首を振るクルミを診て安心していました。しばらく痛みも出ていないのでこのまま様子を見ることになりました。耳が聞こえなくなったことも相談してきました。

Kurumi visited the vet for a follow-up diagnosis last week. Since many dogs want to meet the director, it is normal for us to wait a long time. Kurumi and I were in the car while my wife was waiting in the waiting room. It was a cold day today, but the weather was so warm inside the car. The director was relieved to see Kurumi shaking his head. He hasn’t had any pain for a while, so he decided to keep watching. I have also consulted about the fact that Kurumi has become deaf.

今日も晴れたのですが、気温が低く、寒い一日でした。散歩をしながら木々を見るのですが、まだ桜の蕾も見られません。梅は少し蕾が膨らんできています。今年の冬はとても寒い日々が続いています。クルミは今日も元気に過ごしていました。彼の耳が聞こえないと分かってから、私たち夫婦も彼との接し方がだんだんとわかってきたように思います。クルミは身体の一部が誰かと接しているととても安心しています。

It was sunny today, but the temperature was low and it was a cold day. I see the trees while taking a walk, but I haven’t seen the cherry blossom buds yet. The plums have a little buds. It’s been very cold this winter. Kurumi was doing well today. After finding out that he was deaf, I think we gradually learned how to treat him. Kurumi is very relieved that a part of his body is in contact with someone.

午後、クルミと一緒に Cafe に行きました。この店はドッグフードを扱っていて、犬連れで行くとおやつをくれます。クルミはそのことを知っていて、喜んで店に入っていきます。今日もおやつをもらってご機嫌のクルミでした。オーナーとクルミの耳の話をしてきました。ペットを愛する人同志で意見交換できたことは私たちにとっても有意義な時間となりました。

In the afternoon, We went to Cafe with Kurumi. This shop sells dog food and serves some snacks if people brings dog with. Kurumi knows that and is very happy to enter the store. He got some snacks today and he was a happy dog today. I’ve talked to the owner about Kurumi’s ears. It was a meaningful time for us to be able to exchange opinions with pet lovers.

北京で開催されている冬季オリンピックは今日で終わります。日本は記録的なメダルの獲得数を実現しました。今日の朝はカーリング女子の決勝戦がありました。対戦相手はイギリスです。残念ながら負けてしまいましたが、銀メダルをもらっています。選手のみなさんからは感動の日々をいただくことができました。クルミは今日も穏やかに過ごすことができています。天気が悪いので庭に出ることはできませんでした。

The Winter Olympics in Beijing end today. Japan has achieved a record number of medals. There was a curling women’s final match this morning. The opponent is England. Unfortunately they lost the game, but got a silver medal. I was impressed by the players. Kurumi is still calm today. he couldn’t go out to the garden because of the bad weather.

今日は夕方から雨の予報です。少し早い時間から薪ストーブに火を入れました。クルミは寝不足だったようで少し元気がありません。午前中はずっと眠っていました。午後はおもちゃで遊んでいました。薪ストーブの暖かさに包まれると私たちも眠くなってしまいます。私は犬笛を買ってみました。クルミは高い音に少し反応します。少しずつ、お互いにコミュニケーションの取り方を学んでみようと思います。

He was playing with toys in the afternoon. The warmth of a wood stove makes us sleepy too. I bought a dog whistle. Kurumi reacts a little to high notes.
