今日は湿度がとても高い日でした。少し歩いただけでたくさん汗をかいてしまいます。近くの畑にはトンボがたくさん飛んでいます。秋がだんだんと深まっていきます。クルミは湿度が高いと苦しそうにしています。エアコンを除湿モードにしてやりました。そうすると元気にしています。今年も辛い季節が長引きます。

台風 11 号が日本海を北上している間、強い南風が吹き続けました。北陸地方ではフェーン現象により猛暑の一日だったとテレビで報じられていました。空を見上げると真っ青でした雲は強い風で流されてしまったのでしょう。午後、クルミは少し調子を崩しました。左の肩を傾けてじっとしています。痛がる様子もなく、自分で立っていられるのです。しばらくするとまた元気になりました。食欲もあります。

夏至の頃から日の出時刻が遅くなり、日の入り時刻が早くなりました。クルミは今朝もまだ暗いうちから起き出してきました。一緒に起きてしばらく遊ぶとまた寝てしまいます。今日は庭の芝を刈りました。クルミも歩きやすくなって喜んでいるようです。クルミは今日もたくさん遊んで良く眠っています。

雨が降ると庭の芝は直ぐに伸びてしまいます。クルミは芝の上を歩くのが少し難しい様子です。気温は 25 ℃程度なので過ごしやすい夕方ですが、蚊も多く、直ぐに近寄ってきます。クルミと私は慌てて家に入りました。気がつくと 9 月です。壁に掛けたカレンダーの枚数も残り少なくなってきました。国家試験の日も近づいてきます。過ごしやすくなった夕方から夜は勉強する時間します。

お茶の時間を近くのスターバックスで妻と過ごしました。妻は今月から始まったスィーツを。私はモンブランとコーヒーにしました。スタバではストローが紙製になりました。自分で持っていったストローだと気持ちが良いのですが、汚れてしまったストローを持ち帰るのが少し面倒です。涼しく天気も安定していました。クルミは今日もおもちゃで遊んで疲れて眠ってしまいました。
I spent tea time with my wife at a nearby Starbucks. My wife has sweets that started this month. I chose cake and coffee. Starbucks now uses paper straws. It feels good to bring own straw, but it’s a little troublesome to bring back a dirty straw. The weather was cool and stable. Kurumi was tired after playing with toys today and fell asleep.
台風 11 号が発生して迷走しています。沖縄地方はこの数日、暴風雨に見舞われていて大変です。今年も「記録的」と言う言葉を聞きます。毎年、大型化していく台風に恐怖を覚えます。秒速 70m の風は時速 250km の速さに匹敵します。時折強い雨が降って、雷も鳴る一日でしたが、クルミは元気に過ごせました。雨の降らない頃合いをみて庭に出てみましたが、直ぐに蚊が寄ってきたので家の中に逃げ込みました。

We went out into the garden when it wasn’t raining, but the mosquitoes soon came to us, so we ran into the house.
今朝は涼しく、曇っていたのですが、昼過ぎから強い陽射しと共に急に暑くなってきました。こんな気候の急変が原因なのかクルミは体調を崩しました。しばらく立ったまま右下を向いていました。妻はこの様子をスマホで録画していました。今度、獣医に見せようと思います。10 分もしたらクルミは元気になっておもちゃで遊ぶようになり安心しました。
It was cool and cloudy this morning, but it suddenly became hot with strong sunlight in the afternoon. Kurumi fell ill due to the sudden change in climate. He stood there for a while, looking down and to the right. My wife recorded this with her smartphone. We’ll take it to the vet next time. After 10 minutes, Kurumi was feeling better and playing with his toys, which was a relief.
人を月に送るアルテミス計画が再開しました。昨夜のロケット発射は残念ながら延期されてしまいましたが、数年先に月面に人が降り立つことが楽しみです。そしてその先には火星にも着陸する計画があるそうでワクワクします。クルミは今日も元気に遊んでいました。ソファーから落ちてしまったおもちゃを拾え、と私に吠えていました。
The Artemis project to send people to the moon has resumed. Last night’s rocket launch was unfortunately postponed, but I’m looking forward to people landing on the moon in a few years. And I’m excited to hear that there are plans to land on Mars as well. Kurumi was playing well today as well. He was barking at me to pick up a toy that had fallen off the sofa.
月に一度しか会社に行かなくなりましたが、クルミは私が会社に行く支度をすると分かるようです。「これから会社に行ってくるよ」と言うとクルミは理解したのかそのままソファーで寝てしまいました。今日も涼しい一日で助かりました。私は久しぶりに会社で人と会話することができました。
I only go to work once a month, but Kurumi seems to know when I get ready to go to work. When I said, “I’m going to the office now,” Kurumi seemed to understand and fell asleep on the sofa. It’s been a cool day again today. I was able to talk to people at the company for the first time in a long time.
