今日は少し暖かくなり、穏やかな週末となりました。久しぶりにクルミと家の中で遊ぶ時間が持てました。気がつくとクルミの毛がずいぶんと伸びています。来週はトリミングの予定が入っています。クルミは陽の当たる場所を選んでのんびりとしていました。
暖かさに誘われて久しぶりに散歩をしてみました。近くの公園の桜の木にはとても小さな蕾を見ることができました。午後は睡蓮鉢に入っている水の温度も上がってきて金魚も元気良く泳いでいます。こんなにのんびりと過ごせることに感謝です。

It’s a little warmer today, and it’s been a calm weekend. For the first time in a long time, I had time to play with Kurumi in the house. When I noticed, his hair was growing a lot. He has a trimming scheduled for next week. Kurumi choses a sunny spot to relax.
Invited by the warmth, I took a walk for the first time in a while. I was able to see very small buds on a cherry tree in a nearby park. In the afternoon, the temperature of the water in the water lily bowl rises, and the goldfishs are swimming well. I am grateful to be able to spend such a relaxing time.

昨日までの寒さが一転して今日は少し気温が上がりました。それでもこの地域はまだ寒く、工場の敷地にある桜に蕾を見つけることはできません。ここは美味しいお米ができる所で、田んぼが広く広がっています。今日までの仕事を終えて自宅に。クルミはまだ起きていました。久しぶりにリモートワークではなく、事務所で働いた一週間でした。

The cold until yesterday has turned around and the temperature has risen a little today. However, it is still cold in this area, and we cannot find buds on the cherry blossoms on the factory grounds. This is a place where delicious rice can be grown, and the rice fields are spread widely. After finishing work for today, I went home. Kurumi was still awake. It’s been a long time since I’ve worked in the office instead of remote work.

朝から一日中の会議を終えて工場の玄関を出たら夕闇が広がっていました。久しぶりに一日中会議室に座っていたのでとても疲れてしまいました。この会議は明日まで続きます。今日も少し早く眠って明日に備えます。

When I left the front door of the factory after finishing all-day meetings in the morning, it was already dark. It’s been a long time since I sat in the conference room all day, so I’m very tired. This meeting will continue until tomorrow. I’m going to sleep a little early today and prepare for tomorrow.

今日から東北地方にある会社の工場で仕事をするために出張しています。まだクルミが眠っているうちに家を出てきました。この工場に来るのは 3 年ぶりになります。知った顔が出迎えてくれました。みなさんも私を迎えてくれて、とても暖かい気分になりました。晴れていても時々雪が舞うとても寒い日でした。

Starting today, I am on a business trip to work at a company’s factory in the Tohoku region. I left home while Kurumi was still asleep. It’s been three years since I’ve come to this factory. A familiar face greeted me. Everyone welcomed me and made me feel very warm. It was a very cold day with occasional snow even though it was sunny.

アメリカに住む友人から妻へカードが届きました。友人も少し前に膝の手術をしたそうです。彼女もリハビリテーションを始めているそうです。アメリカではこのようなカードを送る文化があって、多種のカードが売られています。妻に届いたカードも今の状況を物語っていてとても素敵なものです。
今日は少し早く帰れたので薪ストーブを使って部屋を温めることができました。クルミも嬉しそうにしています。明日からは久しぶりの出張です。クルミとは金曜までお別れになります。

A friend who lives in America sent a card to my wife. A friend of mine recently had knee surgery. She is said to be in rehabilitation. In the United States, there is a culture of sending such cards, and many types of cards are sold. The card that my wife received also tells the current situation and is very nice.
I was able to go home a little early today, so I was able to use the wood stove to heat the room. Kurumi looks happy too. It’s been a long time since I’ve been on a business trip since tomorrow. I will say goodbye to Kurumi until Friday.

今日は会社の事務所に遅くまで勤務することになってしまいました。朝もまだクルミは眠っている時間に家を出ました。帰宅した時間は少し遅くなりましたが、妻は夕飯の支度をして待っていてくれました。お風呂も一人で入ることができて、日常の生活に戻りつつあります。クルミは夕食を食べたらすぐに眠くなってしまったようです。今週はクルミと遊ぶ時間は無さそうです。

I ended up working late at the company office today. In the morning, while Kurumi was still asleep, I left home. I got home a little late, but my wife was waiting for me with dinner ready. She could take a bath by herself, and we are returning to our daily life. Kurumi seems to have fallen asleep as soon as he ate dinner. I don’t think I have time to play with Kurumi this week.

パソコンを使って仕事をするようになっても私はノートを常に使用しています。ノートにはその日に何をしたか、そして、宿題事項を記載しています。やるべき事のメモには小さな四角を書いておいて、その仕事が終わったらチェックを入れて忘れないようにしています。既に 100 冊以上がたまってしまいました。最近は 1 日に 1 ページ程度なのですが、以前は数ページをその日に使っていました。3 冊をまとめておいて、2 冊目の半分が終わったら最初のノートを取り外して、新しいノートを追加しています。
クルミは今日も一人で家にいる時間が長く、寂しそうでした。妻と私は車のディーラーに招待されたミニコンサートに出掛けてきました。久しぶりに生演奏を聴くことができました。

Even though I use a computer for work, I always use a notebook. In my notebook, I write down what I did that day and what I did for homework. I write small squares on my to-do notes, and when I’m done with that task, I check it off so I don’t forget. I already have over 100 books. These days it’s about one page a day, but I used to use a few pages a day. I keep the three books together, and when I’m done with the second half, I remove the first notebook and add a new notebook.
Kurumi spent a lot of time alone at home today and looked lonely. My wife and I were at a mini-concert invited by a car dealer. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to listen to a live performance.

今日は朝から陽の光がたくさん降り注いでとても暖かい一日となりました。昨日の雪もこの暖かさでずいぶんと溶けました。屋根の北側にはまだ雪が残っていて滑り落ちてきます。屋根から落ちそうになっている雪の塊から溶けた水が落ちてきて家の北側を歩くことはできませんでした。豪雪地方に住む人たちはもっと大変な思いをしています。たまにしか降らない雪に慣れることはありません。
クルミは今日も元気に過ごしていました。義妹が来る日でした。クルミも楽しそうにしていました。

Today was a very warm day with lots of sunshine pouring in from the morning. Yesterday’s snow melted a lot in this warmth. There is still snow on the north side of the roof and it will slide down. It was impossible to walk on the north side of the house because of melted water falling from the snow clumps that were about to fall from the roof. People living in areas with heavy snowfall have even more trouble. We never get used to the occasional snow.
Kurumi was doing well today as well. It was the day my sister-in-law came. Kurumi was also enjoying themselves.

天気予報のとおり、今朝からは雪が降り始めました。夕方 6 時まで降り続き、10cm 程度積もりました。夜になって気温が下がり、道路が凍結する恐れがあります。明日はテニススクールに車で行く予定なので少し心配です。午後 3 時頃に家の前だけ雪かきをしておきましたが、その後にすぐ積もってしまいました。
朝食の後から薪ストーブに火を入れたので昼過ぎからは家の 2 皆も暖かくなっています。クルミは私たちが家にいて、側で一緒にいるので幸せでした。

According to the weather forecast, it started to snow this morning. It continued to fall until 6:00 in the evening, with a thickness of about 10 cm. Temperatures drop at night and roads can freeze. I’m a little worried because I’m planning to drive to the tennis school tomorrow. I shoveled snow in front of my house around 3:00 pm, but it quickly piled up after that.
After breakfast, the fire was turned on in the wood-burning stove, so even upstar in the house was warm in the afternoon. Kurumi was happy that we were home and together with him.

妻は病院のリハビリテーション施設で初めての施術を受けました。骨の周りにある筋肉を強化することが目的とのことです。痛い思いは無く、気持ち良かったと妻は言っていました。私は妻を待つ間、病院の近くを散策してみました。明日は雪が降る予報が出ています。その前に今日の晴天を楽しみました。
クルミは私たちが食事をしている間は薪ストーブの前で大人しく待っています。明日は天気が悪いので、早い時間から火を点けられそうです。薪ストーブの暖かさはクルミも大好きのようです。

My wife had her first training at the hospital’s rehabilitation facility. The goal is to strengthen the muscles around the bone. My wife said that there was no painful feeling and it felt good. While waiting for my wife, I took a walk around the hospital. There is a forecast that it will snow tomorrow. Before that, I enjoyed today’s fine weather.
Kurumi waits patiently in front of the wood stove while we eat supper. The weather will be bad tomorrow, so it looks like we’ll be able to start the fire early. The warmth of the wood stove seems to love Kurumi too.
