クリスマスの週末、天気は少し下り坂です。明日は強い寒気が日本全体を覆うようなことを天気予報では言っています。自分へのクリスマスプレゼントとして Google の製品を買ってみました。以前、車庫に取り付けた監視カメラの類似品です。ドアベルという製品で、インターフォンの機能をネットワークで実現しています。これがあれば、不在時の来客とも受け答えができそうです。クルミは大好きなおもちゃを噛んで遊んでいます。もうすぐかれの誕生日です。新しいおもちゃに交換してあげましょう。

On this Christmas weekends, the weather is a bit downhill. The weather forecast says that tomorrow the strong chills will cover the whole of Japan. I bought a Google product as a Christmas present for myself. It is similar to the surveillance camera previously installed in the garage. 天気が良い日はクルミと庭で遊ぶことができます。仕事の合間、私がリビングに行くと一緒に庭に行こうとせがんできました。枯れ葉がたくさん庭にあるのでクルミの身体に付いてしまいます。今夜はクリスマスイブ、妻と二人、近くのカフェでスイーツをいただくことにしました。

When the weather is nice, I can play with Kurumi in the garden. During my work, I was able to go to the garden with him when I went to the living room at the break time. There are a lot of dead leaves in the garden, so they stick to his body. Tonight, on Christmas Eve, my wife and I decided to have sweets at a nearby cafe.

クルミは今日も元気におもちゃで遊び、そして眠っていました。昼間は太陽の光がたくさん入るリビングはとても暖かく、クルミはおとなしく昼寝をしていました。今日は妻が外出、私は自宅での仕事でしたからクルミは一人の時間が長く、少しつまらなかったかも知れません。そんな日はクルミをたくさん抱きしめてあげます。

Kurumi was playing with toys and sleeping well today, too. In the daytime, the living room with lots of sunlight was very warm, and he took a nap quietly. My wife went out today and I was working from home, so Kurumi may have been a little boring for a long time alone. On such a day, I will hug a lot of him.

今日は冬至、一年の中で、昼間の時間が最も短い日でした。そして、太陽の高さが最も低くなりました。634m 高の東京スカイツリーの影が 1,000m 以上になったとニュース番組で報じていました。私は外出していたのでクルミとの時間が短い日となってしまいました。夕方、夕食が待ちきれないクルミの姿がかわいいです。

クルミは昨日の疲れが溜まっていたのか、朝、私が起きても眠っていました。しばらくすると吠える声が聞こえてきます。私がベッドにいないことを知って呼んでいたようです。世間ではコロナウィルスのオミクロン種がその猛威を振るっています。日本でも徐々に感染者の数が増えてきました。これからクリスマス、年末、年始を控えて人が外に出る機会が増えます。私たちも外食に出る予定なのですが、感染予防対策を怠らないようにします。

Kurumi was asleep when I woke up in the morning, probably because he was tired yesterday. After a while, I heard a barking voice. It seems that he knew that I wasn’t in bed and called me. The Omicron species of coronavirus is rampant in the world. The number of infected people has gradually increased in Japan as well. From now on, there will be more opportunities for people to go out of Christmas, the end of the year, and the beginning of the year. We are planning to go out to eat out also, but we will not neglect infection prevention measures.

朝の散歩をしながら東の空の色が変化していくのを見ていると時が過ぎるのを忘れてしまいます。今朝は西の空にはまだ満月が綺麗に見えました。クルミはトリミングの日、午前中はトリマーさんの所に預けられてご機嫌斜めです。トリミングが終わった後、ドッグカフェで昼食、クルミもおやつをもらってご機嫌になりました。

As I take a walk in the morning and watch the color of the eastern sky change, I forget that time has passed. The full moon still looked beautiful in the west sky this morning. Kurumi is left at Trimmer’s place in the morning on the day of trimming, and he was not happy with that. After trimming, we had lunch at the dog cafe and had a snack for Kurumi. 寒い朝でしたが、少し歩いてみました。夜明け時の気温が最も下がるように思います。昼間は陽の暖かさがいっぱいで助かります。自治会の大掃除で私たちは歩道の枯葉を掃除しました。風が無い朝で仕事は捗りました。クルミは今日もおもちゃで遊んでいました。ソファーの上から吠えておもちゃをねだります。

We cleaned the dead leaves on the sidewalk by cleaning the community facility. Work went well in the morning when there was no wind. Kurumi was playing with toys today as well. 今朝はこの冬一番の冷え込みとなりました。庭のバードバスの水が凍っています。これから数ヶ月は寒い朝になります。こんな日はクルミも庭に出たら直ぐに帰ってきます。昼間、太陽の陽が暖かい時間は短いですが、その間に庭で過ごすのが楽しみです。明日も冬晴れになりそうです。焚き付け用の薪を用意することにしましょう。

This morning was the coldest of the winter. The water in the bird bath in the garden is frozen. It will be a cold morning for the next few months. On such a day, Kurumi will come back as soon as he goes out to the garden. In the daytime, the sun is warm for a short time, but I am looking forward to spending time in the garden during that time. 今朝、クルミは私が起きても眠っていました。冬は寝床にヒーターを入れて暖めています。その暖かさが気持ちよかったのでしょう。私たちも寒い朝は暖かい寝床から出るのが辛いことがあります。朝から雨の日は陽の暖かさもなく、すぐにストーブで部屋を暖めてしまいました。午後からは雨が止み、雲が少し多かったですが、少し太陽が顔を見せてくれました。

This morning Kurumi was asleep even when I woke up. In winter, I put a heater in the bed to warm it up. He would have been nice with the warm. We too can have a hard time getting out of a warm bed on a cold morning. From the morning it is rainy day, there was no warmth in the sun, and I immediately warmed the room on the stove. The rain stopped in the afternoon and there were a few clouds, but the sun showed up a little.

薪ストーブの上で焼き芋を作るシーズンになりました。小粒の安納芋が手に入りました。毎日、ストーブの上で焼いて、それを朝食にいただいています。芋の種類で味が違うことを楽しむことができます。安納芋は甘くて美味しいです。今日、クルミは朝からおもちゃをねだって元気でした。ソファーの上から玩具箱に向かって吠えていました。今日も冬晴れの一日、陽の暖かさに感謝です。

It’s time to make roasted sweet potatoes on a wood stove. I got a small Anno potato. I bake it on the stove every day and have it for breakfast. We can enjoy different tastes depending on the type of potato. Anno potatoes are sweet and delicious. Today, Kurumi has been fine since the morning, begging for toys. He was barking from the top of the sofa toward the toy box. I am grateful for the warmth of the sun on a sunny day in winter today.
