今日は気温が上がり、来月末頃の暖かさになっています。午前中は妻とテニススクールにいきましたが、最初は肌寒かったのですが、終わる頃は汗をたくさんかいてしまいました。庭の草花も緑が多くなってきました。ヒヤシンスの芽はずいぶんと大きくなってきています。水仙にも蕾がつきました。クルミは陽の光を眩しそうにしています。穏やかな時間が流れる週末となっています。来月の中旬から息子夫婦が来ることが決まりそうです。今日は帰国時に必要となる渡航前 PCR 検査を行なっている施設に電話をして、どのような段取りで行うか確認しました。このような手続きが要らなくなることを希望します。

The temperature has risen today as it is warmer around the end of next month. I went to a tennis school with my wife in the morning, and although it was chilly at first, I sweated a lot by the end. The flowers in the garden are also getting greener. Hyacinth buds are getting bigger and bigger. Narcissus also has buds. Kurumi is dazzling the sun. It’s a weekend of calm time. It seems that my son and his wife will come from the middle of next month. Today, I called the facility that conducts the pre-travel PCR test required when returning back to Singapore to confirm the setup. I hope that such a procedure will not be necessary soon.

今朝、散歩にでかけようとドアを開けたらとても暖かくて少し嬉しくなりました。梅の花も満開になってきました。花粉が舞い散る中を歩いていると若い鶯の鳴き声が聞こえてきました。まだ上手に奏でることができない鶯の声を聞いていると微笑ましくなります。11 年前の今日、日本では未曾有の自然災害を受けました。多くの人が犠牲になったのですが、そんな今、ウクライナではロシアとの戦争で多くの人が亡くなっています。人が人を殺すことが起きていることが信じられません。ロシアの外務大臣の発言にも驚き、私は吐き気さえ覚えてしまいました。クルミは暖かい部屋で元気に遊んで、そしてよく眠っています。

I can’t believe it’s happening that people kill people. I was surprised at what the Russian Foreign Minister said, and I even felt nauseous. Kurumi plays well in a warm room and sleeps well.

今日は久しぶりにクルミと一緒に時間を過ごしました。妻は横浜へ買い物に出掛けています。最近は私が自宅で仕事をしているので、たまには妻に家事をしない日を過ごしてもらえて良かったと思います。午後、クルミとを連れて公園を散歩しました。公園の近くのカフェで昼食をとり、私ものんびりと過ごすことができた一日です。公園の帰り道、友人に紹介していただいたコーヒー豆店に行ってみました。生豆をその場で焙煎している店です。今日は時間が無かったので既に焙煎してあるコーヒー豆を買って帰りました。最近、また手回しのミルにしています。このミルは構造がしっかりしていて、豆を均一に挽くことができます。味も良くなっています。

I spent time with Kurumi today. My wife is out shopping in Yokohama. Recently, I’m working from home, so I’m glad that my wife sometimes spends days not doing housework. In the afternoon, I took a walk in the park with Kurumi. I had lunch at a cafe near the park and had a relaxing day also. On the way back from the park, I went to a coffee bean shop introduced by a friend. It is a shop where raw beans are roasted on the spot. I didn’t have much time today, so I bought coffee beans that had already been roasted and went home. Recently, I’m using a hand-cranked mill again. This mill has a solid structure and can grind beans evenly. The taste is also getting better.

クルミの行動を見ているとパターン化しています。私たちが夕食を食べている間は一人でおとなしく寝ています。食事が終わると起きてきて一緒に遊べというように吠えて呼びます。しばらくおもちゃで遊んでいたかと思うと、疲れたのか私たちの側で眠ってしまいます。そんなクルミに心を癒されています。今朝は通院のために駅まで歩きました。白梅が満開できれいでした。

Looking at the behavior of Kurumi, it is patterned. He sleeps quietly alone while we are having dinner. When the meal is over, he barks and calls to get up and play with him. We’ve been playing with toys for a while, he’s tired and fall asleep on our side. Such Kurumi heals my heart. I walked to the station this morning to go to the hospital. The white plum blossoms were in full bloom and beautiful.

スマートフォンを使うようになって、キャッシュレス決済ができるようになったことはとても便利です。このため、最近は財布を持たずにスマートフォンだけを持って出かけることも多くなりました。そして、最近はスマートウォッチとの連携もあって、さらに便利になりました。キャッシュレス決済も連携しているし、家のセキュリティーシステムの設定もできるようになりました。腕にはめているので、持ち忘れることもありません。今日は一日中小雨が降る寒い日でした。仕事が終わったあと薪ストーブで部屋を暖かくしてクルミと少しでしたが、遊ぶことができました。

After work, I warmed the room with a wood stove and had a short time with Kurumi, but we were able to play together.

今日は思ったよりも寒い日となり、クルミを連れて公園にいくことはあきらめました。その代わりに日光浴を兼ねて庭で遊びました。クルミは枯れ葉を体に付けて走り回っていました。薪ストーブはとても暖かくて、燃える炎は魅力的です。でも薪の仕事は体力が要ります。また、燃やし始めると温度をこまめに管理しなければならないので結構忙しいです。薪の在庫が残り少なくなりました。無くなる前に春が来ることを願います。

It was colder than I expected today and I gave up going to the park with Kurumi. Instead, we played in the garden to sunbathe. Kurumi was running around with dead leaves on his body. The wood stove is very warm and the burning flames are fascinating. But the work of firewood requires physical strength. Also, once I start burning, I have to control the temperature diligently, so I am quite busy. The firewood inventory is low. I hope spring will come before it disappears.

電気自動車の展示車を見てきました。BMW i4 というモデルはガソリン車の 4 シリーズをベースにしています。スタイルが気に入っています。この展示車は艶消し塗装をしてあります。艶消し塗装の車はあまり走っていません。手入れが難しいと聞いています。私が注文した車は未だ生産計画にのっていません。来るのが待ち遠しいです。今日もクルミを膝に乗せて一緒にテレビを見てのんびりしていました。私は幸せな日曜日を過ごせているのですが、ウクライナの人たちのことを考えると辛いです。

I have seen the electric car on display. The model BMW i4 is based on the 4 Series of petrol cars. I like the style. This car has a matte paint. There aren’t many cars with matte paint running. I hear that it is difficult to maintain. The car I ordered is not yet in production planning. I can’t wait to come. I was relaxing watching TV with Kurumi on my lap today. I have a happy Sunday, but it’s hard considering the Ukrainians.

今日は啓蟄、春になって土の中で縮こまっていた虫(蟄)が穴を開いて(啓いて)動き出す日です。具体的には、日本人が「さぁ働くぞ」と意気込み始める日のことを言いうそうです。確かに、暖かくなってくると活動的になります。私も最近はよく外を歩くようになりました。庭に植えたヒヤシンスの芽も土の中から顔を出してきました。午後、息子夫婦からの Face Time が入り、クルミはキョロキョロしていました。耳が聞こえなくなっているのですが、ある周波数の音は聞こえる様子です。もう少し暖かくなったらクルミを連れて公園に行きます。

He is deaf, but he can hear sounds of a certain frequency, so not completely deaf. When it gets a little warmer, I’ll take him to the park.

朝から机に向かって仕事をしていました。午後の電話会議を終えてから少し歩いてみました。今まで行ったことのない小高い丘まで歩くと汗をかいてしまいます。風が少し強い午後でしたが身体を動かすことができました。クルミもソファーの上で眠っていたので起こして庭に出してやりました。今日もテレビではプーチン、ウクライナ、コロナ、といった話題で持ちきりでした。ロシアではフェイクニュースが国営テレビで流されているそうですが、情報がどこで変わってしまうか、怖い世の中だと感じています。何が本当で何が嘘なのか。最後は自分で確かめるしかありません。

I was working at my desk from the morning. After finishing the conference call in the afternoon, I walked a little. When I walked to a small hill that I have never been to, I got sweat. It was a little windy afternoon, but I was able to take exercise my body. Kurumi was sleeping on the sofa, so I woke him up and took Kurumi out to the garden. Even today, on TV, there were many topics such as Putin, Ukraine, and Corona. It seems that fake news is broadcast on national television in Russia, but I feel that it is a scary world where information will change. What is true and what is a lie? At the end, I have to check for myself.

今日は夕方から厚い雲が出てきました。風も冷たくなってきて、明日からはまた少し寒い日が続きそうです。夕方、シンガポールに住む息子から嬉しい知らせが来ました。月曜の午後、こちらから発送した荷物が今日の午後、到着したそうです。たった 72 時間で日本からシンガポールに送れたのはこれまでの記録かもしれません。人間は空港に着いてもその後、隔離の期間があるので、人間よりも早かったことになります。クルミは今日も元気に遊んでいました。最近は食欲が出てきたのか、私たちがキッチンにいると寄ってきます。まだ、何か食べたそうにしています。

It seems that the luggage shipped on Monday from here arrived this afternoon this afternoon. It may be a record so far that it was sent from Japan to Singapore in just 72 hours. It was faster than humans because they arrived at the airport and then had a period of quarantine. Kurumi was playing well today as well. Perhaps he has an appetite more, and when we are in the kitchen, he come by. He is still trying to eat something.
