今日も晴れて暑い日になりました。先週は 39℃を表示していた温度計は 35℃を示していました。まだ梅雨明け宣言は出されていませんが、連日の猛暑に疲れてきました。どうしても冷たい飲み物が欲しくなってしまいます。そんな時に新しい自動販売機を見つけました。その場でオレンジを絞ってジュースにするようです。残念ながらオレンジの補充中で使えなかったので諦めてしまいました。シンガポール発、とありますが、このブランドはシンガポールの会社なのでしょう。
今日はクルミの爪を切ってあげました。きょうもおとなしく切らせてくれるので助かります。クルミは今日も元気に遊んでいます。

It became another sunny and hot day today. The temperature gauge, which had shown 39 degrees Celsius last week, today it indicated 35 degrees Celsius. Although the official declaration of the end of the rainy season has not been made yet, I’m getting tired of the scorching heat day after day. I can’t help but crave a cold drink. At such a moment, I discovered a new vending machine. It seemed to squeeze flesh oranges and make juice right on the spot. Unfortunately, it was out of service due to orange refilling, so I had to give up. It says it’s from Singapore, but I wonder if this brand is a Singaporean company.
Today, I trimmed Kurumi’s nails. It’s a relief that he cooperates quietly for the nail trimming. Kurumi is playing energetically today too.

今朝、クルミは一人で遅くまで眠っていました。いつもなら私たちが起きるとクルミも騒ぐのですが、今朝はなぜかクルミは起きませんでした。朝食を終えても起きてこないので心配になって起こしました。クルミは元気に起きて遊びだしました。今日も朝から暑い日となりました。このような気温の変化がクルミの様子を変えているのかも知れません。老犬となったクルミのことが我が家では一番の心配事となっています。でも、今日も元気に遊んで、お腹が空くと騒いでいました。

This morning, Kurumi was sleeping alone until late. Normally, when we wake up, Kurumi also makes a fuss, but this morning, for some reason, Kurumi didn’t wake up. We finished breakfast, but Kurumi didn’t come out of bed, so I got worried and woke him up. Kurumi woke up energetically and started playing. It’s another hot day from the morning today. Such temperature changes may be affecting Kurumi’s condition. Kurumi, he has become an old dog, is the biggest concern in our family. However, he was playing energetically today as well and making a fuss when he got hungry.

明日からまた暑い日が続く予報が出ているので、今日は思い切って庭の芝を刈ることにしました。曇り空で時々小雨が降っていましたが、湿度が高く、作業を終えたら汗をたくさんかいていました。芝を刈った後のさっぱりした庭は気持ちが良いです。そして芝の香りが漂って癒されます。
クルミは昨日の疲れが取れたのか今日は朝から元気に遊んでいました。強い陽射しが無かったので少しの時間、庭に出て遊ぶこともできました。

Since the forecast says that hot days will continue from tomorrow, I decided to boldly mow the lawn today. It was cloudy with occasional drizzles, but the humidity was high, and I sweated a lot after finishing the work. The refreshing garden after mowing the lawn feels great, and the scent of the grass is soothing.
Kurumi, on the other hand, seemed to have recovered from yesterday’s fatigue and was energetically playing since morning today. As there was no strong sunlight, we could spend some time playing in the garden.

家の中でも熱中症に気を付けるように言われています。特に家事をしている時間が長いと炊事中の熱気で患ってしまうそうです。そんなことがないようにと思い、充電式の小型扇風機を購入しました。小さいわりには十分な風量を発生してくれます。来週は梅雨明けと猛暑が予報されています。
クルミと一緒に都心のショッピング施設まで行ってきました。平日の高速道路は渋滞が激しく、車の中にいる時間が長く、クルミは少し疲れてしまいました。

I have been told to be careful about heatstroke even inside the house. It seems that I can easily suffer from it due to the heat generated while doing household chores, especially during long periods of time spent cooking. To prevent that, I purchased a rechargeable small fan. Despite its small size, it generates sufficient airflow. Next week, the end of the rainy season and intense heat are forecasted.
We went to a shopping facility in the city with Kurumi. The weekday highways were heavily congested, and we spent a long time in the car, which made Kurumi a little tired.

朝、起きてみると細かな雨が降っていました。強い陽射しは厚い雲に遮られて地上には届いていません。曇っていて嬉しいことは無いのですが、流石に今朝は安心しました。それでも気温は 30℃近くまで上がって、しかも湿度が高いのでエアコンは欠かせない日となりました。私は車の充電をしにいつもの場所に行きました。ここは近くにコンビニエンスストアがあるので、時間を費やすことができます。今日はアイスコーヒーにしました。日本の急速充電のシステムは Chademo と言います。この言葉の由来は「お茶でも飲んでいる間に充電する」らしく、コーヒーでも飲んで待っていました。
クルミは今日も元気に遊んで、そして寝ています。温度差が激しいと体調に良く無いので、どうしてもクルミのことを考えてしまいます。エアコンを上手に使ってこの夏も乗り切りたいと思います。

When I woke up in the morning, it was drizzling. The strong sunlight was blocked by thick clouds and didn’t reach the ground. Although cloudy weather doesn’t bring me joy, I felt relieved this morning. Nevertheless, the temperature rose close to 30℃, and with the high humidity, it became a day where the air conditioning was indispensable. I went to the usual place to charge my car. Since there is a convenience store nearby, I could spend some time there. Today, I chose iced coffee. The rapid charging system in Japan is called Chademo. The origin of this word apparently comes from “charging while drinking tea,” but I was waiting while drinking coffee.
Kurumi is playing and sleeping energetically today. I can’t help but worry about him because drastic temperature changes are not good for his health. I hope to get through this summer by using the air conditioning effectively.

今日も気温が高く、この地域は全国で一番高い気温を記録してしまいました。昼間、少し風が吹いてくるのですが、熱波のような風を感じました。この暑さはいつまで続くのでしょうか？私は足にできたイボの治療を受けに病院に行きました。短パンで通えるうちに完治することを願っています。
クルミは今日も庭に出ることはできませんでした。家の中で遊んでは昼寝をしていました。

Today, the temperature was high again, and this region recorded the highest temperature in Japan. During the day, a light breeze blew, but it felt like a heatwave. How long will this heat last? I went to the hospital to receive treatment for the wart that appeared on my foot. I hope it heals completely while I can still go in shorts.
As for Kurumi, he couldn’t go outside in the garden today. He played indoors and took a nap.

今日も酷暑の一日です。クルミは庭に出たくてドアの前で待っていますが、小さな犬を外に出すわけにはいきません。抱き抱えて少しだけ外の空気に触れさせてやりましたが、満足していません。もうすぐ梅雨が開けるかもしれません。今日もエアコンの効く部屋でクルミと一緒に過ごしています。
身の回りには人の動きを検知して動作するものが多くあります。人が近づくと点灯する照明、トイレに入るとトイレのカバーが自動で開きます。車のトランクは足を動かすと自動で開閉します。しかし、地面の温度が人の体温と近いとトランクは動作しません。今日もそのくらい暑い日です。

Today is another scorching day. Kurumi wants to go out into the garden and is waiting in front of the door, but I can’t let the small dog go outside. I held him and let him touch the outside air for a little while, but he is not satisfied. The rainy season might be over soon. Today, I am spending time with Kurumi in a room with air conditioning.
There are many things around us that detect human movements and respond accordingly. The lights turn on when someone approaches, and the toilet cover opens automatically when you enter the bathroom. The trunk of a car opens and closes automatically when you move your feet. However, on a day as hot as today, when the ground temperature is close to the human body temperature, the trunk doesn’t work. It’s that hot today.

クルミは久しぶりにこのおもちゃで遊んでいました。噛むことで歯を綺麗にしてくれるおもちゃです。右側の歯で噛んでいましたが、今日は左側で噛むことはありませんでした。私が思ったようには行動してくれません。
今日は酷い暑さの一日となっています。外気温は 37℃まで上がりました。エアコンの無い部屋は 34℃ になっています。クルミの居る部屋は朝からエアコンを運転しています。冷やしすぎてもいけないので室温を監視しながら過ごしました。

Kurumi was playing with this toy after a long time. It’s a toy that helps clean his teeth by chewing on it. He was chewing on it with his right side teeth, but today he didn’t chew on it with his left side. He doesn’t behave as I expected.
Today has been an extremely hot day. The outside temperature has risen to 37°C. The room without air conditioning is at 34°C. The room where Kurumi is has had the air conditioning running since morning. I spent the day monitoring the room temperature so as not to cool it too much.

クルミは時間が分かるようです。食事の時間 30 分前になるとソワソワして食事時間まで待てないようにしています。そして食事が終わるとおもちゃで遊びながら眠ってしまいます。寝顔が可愛いです。
妻と食材の買い物にでかけました。畑の近くにある店では地場野菜を買うことができます。近くの畑では夏の虫がたくさん鳴いていました。昼はマクドナルドで済ませることにしました。イートインコーナーには子供が書いた短冊が飾ってあります。七夕ではこのような短冊に祈りを込めて飾ります。可愛いものや現実味いっぱいのものまであって、昼食を摂りながら呼んでいました。

Kurumi seems to understand the concept of time. When it’s 30 minutes before mealtime, he gets restless and can’t wait for the meal. And after finishing his meal, he falls asleep while playing with his toys. His sleeping face is adorable.
I went out with my wife to buy groceries. There’s a store near the field where we can buy locally grown vegetables. There were many summer insects chirping near the field. We decided to have lunch at McDonald’s. In the eat-in area, there were paper strips decorated by children. During the Tanabata festival, we decorate these paper strips with prayers. They ranged from cute to realistic, and we read them while having lunch.

ドアフォンのカメラ側が壊れてしまい交換しました。10年前に取り付けたものなのですが、風雨にさらされて、強い陽に耐えてきたので仕方がありません。カメラ部の内部にあるハウリング防止フィルムが劣化して破けていました。今日は曇り空の一日でした。湿度が高く、少し動くと汗が出てきます。
クルミはおもちゃで遊んでいたかと思うと昼寝をしています。クルミにとっても不快な天気の一日です。

The camera unit of the intercom was broken, so I replaced it. It was installed ten years ago and has been exposed to the wind and rain, enduring strong sunlight, so it couldn’t be helped. The anti-howling film inside the camera unit had deteriorated and torn. Today was a cloudy day. The humidity was high, and I started sweating a little when I moved.
Kurumi was playing with a toy, and now he’s taking a nap. It’s an uncomfortable weather day for him too.
