クルミくんはトリミングしてもらいさっぱりしています。今日も妻がトリマーさんと一緒にクルミくんが動かないようにしてトリミングを受けたようです。顔の周りにハサミが近づくと怖がってしまうようです。会社から帰ると電気ケトルの部品が届いていました。これで安心してお湯を沸かすことができます。新しい部品は空焚きを防止する安全設計になっていて助かります。

5 年前に購入した電気湯沸かしケトルが故障してしまいました。1 ℃単位で温度設定ができるのでコーヒーをドリップする時や緑茶を入れる時など便利に使ってきました。最近、設定した温度になってもヒーターが切れず、電源スイッチを押しても加熱し続ける現象が出るようになってしまいました。加熱器具なのでメーカーにこのことを報告したところ、無償で台の部分を交換してくれることになりました。これを返送して、調査に役立ててもらいたいと思います。クルミくんは今日も元気に過ごしています。朝、私たちが起こすまで眠っているようになりました。

My electric kettle, which I purchased five years ago, has broken down, and I have been using it conveniently for dripping coffee and making green tea because I can set the temperature in 1 °C increments. Recently, the heater does not turn off when the temperature reaches the set temperature and continues to heat up even when the power switch is pressed. I reported this to the manufacturer as it is a heating appliance and they agreed to replace the part of the control unit free of charge. I will send this back to them for their investigation. Kurumi is doing well today. He is now sleeping until we wake him up in the morning.

クルミくんはひとりぼっちになるといつも扉の所で人が帰って来るのを待っています。そして、待ち疲れるとベッドで眠ってしまいます。今日も妻が外出した後、クルミくんはしばらく扉の所で妻が帰って来るのを待っていました。この状態になると私が相手をしても言うことを聞きません。ヨークシャテリアは我が強い犬種です。今日は一日、私は自宅で仕事をしていました。

Whenever Kurumi is alone, he sits by the door waiting for someone to come home. When he gets tired of waiting, he goes to bed and falls asleep. Today, after my wife went out, Kurumi stood at the door for a while waiting for her to come back. In this state, he does not listen to me even if I play with him. Yorkshire Terriers are a strong breed. I was working at home all day today.

都心のこの場所を訪れたのは何年ぶりになるか覚えていません。地下道を歩いていると以前とは変化がないように感じました。シンガポールから来ている友人と昼食を楽しむことができました。最近のビジネスについてなど話していると一緒に働いていた時のことを思い出しました。私が毎週「通訳」の授業を受けていることを話すと彼は「必要ないだろう」と驚いていました。私は頭を使うことが目的で通っていることを説明して彼は納得していました。帰宅するとちょうどクルミくんのご飯時間、今日も元気に遊んでたくさん食べていました。

I don’t remember how many years it has been since I visited this place in the city center. Walking through the underpass, it seemed unchanged from before. I enjoyed lunch with a friend who was visiting from Singapore. Talking about recent business reminded me of the time when we worked together. When I told him that I was taking a weekly “interpretation” class, he was surprised that I didn’t need it. I explained that I was there to use my head and he agreed. When I came home, it was just time for Kurumi’s dinner, and he was playing and eating a lot today.

今日は今シーズン初の芝刈りをしました。雑草も目立ってきたので一気に刈り取りました。これから芝刈りのシーズンが始まります。クルミくんは今日も元気に過ごしていました。のんびりとした時間を楽しむことができた土曜日でした。

Today I mowed the lawn for the first time this season. Weeds were becoming noticeable, so I mowed the lawn in one fell swoop. The mowing season is about to begin. Kurumi was in good spirits today. It was a relaxing Saturday.

会社からの帰り道、車ディーラーの N さんと会って近況を話し合ってきました。最初に N さんから車を紹介されたのは随分前のことになります。それ依頼、今の車まで紹介していただきました。営業担当として長い期間、話し相手になっていただいていることに感謝します。今でもまだ新車の納期は確約できない状況のようです。そして電気自動車を求める顧客が増えてきたことを知りました。お客様が増えて、今後の車に新しい技術が盛り込まれることを期待しています。クルミくんは今日も食欲旺盛、元気に過ごしていました。

On my way home from work, I met with Mr. N, a car dealer, to discuss recent developments. It was a long time ago when Mr. N first introduced me to cars. He even introduced me to my current car. I would like to thank Mr. N for being my sales representative for a long time. Even now, it seems that the delivery date of the new car is still not assured. And I have learned that more and more customers are looking for electric cars. We hope that the number of customers will increase and that new technologies will be incorporated into future cars. Kurumi had a good appetite and was in good spirits today.

今日は妻の妹が遊びに来ました。クルミくんもお客様が来ると嬉しそうにしています。昼食は近くの中華料理店に行って食べました。とても美味しい料理を提供してくれるこの店が私たちの好みになっています。そして中華は人数が多いほど多くの味が試せるので良いものです。今日もクルミくんと一緒に過ごすことができました。

My wife’s sister came to visit today. Kurumi looks happy to have guests. We went to a nearby Chinese restaurant for lunch. This restaurant, which serves very good food, has become our favorite. And Chinese food is good because the more people we have, the more flavors we can try. We had a great time with Kurumi today as well.

Audible というアプリで本の朗読を聞くようになって 3 冊目になりました。私にとって、このアプリはとても便利です。サブスクリプションなので定額で月に何冊でも読むことができます。また、少し聴いてみて興味がなければ聞くのを止めることができます。今はある宇宙飛行士の体験を聴いています。車の中でも聞けるので助かります。クルミくんは今日も元気に過ごしていました。私は仕事で外出していたので遊ぶ時間を長くは取れませんでした。

This is the third book I have started listening to readings from an app called Audible. For me, this app is very convenient. It is a subscription, so I can read as many books per month as I want for a fixed price. Also, I can stop listening if I am not interested after listening to a few. Right now I am listening to an astronaut’s experience. It is helpful because I can listen to it in the car. Kurumi was doing well today. I was out of town for work, so I didn’t get to spend much time playing with him.

今朝早くに小鳥たちが巣立って行ったようです。静かになった巣箱はどことなく寂しそうです。鳥の一家がこの巣箱にいた時間の短さに少し驚かされました。あの一家は今、何処にいるのでしょうか、元気に暮らしていることを祈ります。クルミくんは今日も元気に過ごしています。いつものように食べて、寝ています。

It seems that the birds left the nest early this morning. The quiet nest box looks somewhat lonely. I was a little surprised at how short time the family of birds spent in the nest box. I wonder where they are now, and I hope they are doing well. Kurumi is doing well today. He is eating and sleeping well as usual.

クルミくんは今日も私たちと一緒に元気に過ごしています。クルミくんが起きている間は甘えん坊をしてくるので困ってしまう時があります。でも一緒に過ごしていると楽しいことが多くあって笑顔が絶えません。クルミくんに感謝です。

Kurumi is spending a healthy day with us today. Kurumi sometimes gets into trouble because he spoils us while he is awake. But we have a lot of fun together, and we never stop smiling. Thank you, Kurumi!
