今日は祝日、敬老の日です。朝刊の一面には高齢者の数字が掲載されています。日本国民の 10 人に 1 人が 80 歳以上の老人で、およそ 3 人に 1 人が 65 歳以上の高齢者という高齢者社会となっています。私たちは 4 年前に高齢者の仲間入りとなっています。このような社会にあって、決して若い世代に頼ることだけはせず、自立できることを大切にしていきたいと思います。クルミくんの餌台を作ってみました。水は床に置いた食器から飲むのですが、餌は少し高くした食器からでないと飲み込みにくいようです。今回は傾斜を付け、天板を取り外して洗えるように工夫してみました。気に入ってくれると良いのですが。
