今年最後になるだろうと思いながら庭の芝を刈りました。花壇の雑草も取り去って綺麗になりました。庭仕事をしてると金木犀の香りが漂ってきました。日に日に秋が深まっていきます。妻と庭仕事をしている間、クルミはずっと眠っていたようです。私たちが家の中に入るとクルミは起きてきて甘えるように吠えました。私は今日、日本赤十字から感謝状を受け取りました。68 歳を過ぎて献血を続けている人に与えられるそうです。70 歳になる日まで続けようと思います。

When I was working in the garden, the scent of Kinmokusei drifted. Autumn is getting deeper day by day. Kurumi seems to have slept the whole time while I was doing garden work with my wife. When we entered the house, Kurumi woke up and barked sweetly. I received a letter of appreciation from the Japanese Red Cross today. It is given to those who continue to donate blood after the age of 68th. I plan to continue until the day I will be 70th.
