無線従事者の免許を取得してから52年が経ってしまいました。既に半世紀という長い期間、無線という趣味に携われたことは嬉しいことです。しかし、ここ30年近くはこの趣味から離れていました。その主な理由としてはアンテナがあります。この趣味を楽しむには屋外にアンテナを設置する必要があります。不安定な信号を使って交信することが技術であり、それもこの趣味の醍醐味の一つではあります。先日、近くのハムショップを訪れて知ったのですが、無線とインターネットを接続した通話が可能になっているのです。早速、小さな機材を購入して古いパソコンと接続して設定してみました。なるほど、まだ活発では無いようですが、世界各地の人との交信が可能なようです。しばらく聴くことから始めてみます。
52 years have passed since I obtained a license for a amature radio station. I’m happy to have been involved in the hobby of radio for a long time of half a century. But for the past 30 years, I’ve been away from this hobby. The main reason is the antenna. To enjoy this hobby, I needed to install an antenna outdoors. Immediately, I bought a small piece of equipment and connected it to an old computer to set it up. I see, it’s not active yet, but it seems possible to communicate with people from all over the world. I’ll start by listening to it for a while.
