台風 4 号が日本列島に近づいてきています。火曜には雨が降り出す予報が出ているので、午後から芝刈りを済ませました。小雨が降っていましたが、さっぱりさせることができました。庭仕事をしていて、ほのかに匂う甘い香りに気づいたのですが、金柑の花がつき始めています。クルミは今日も元気におもちゃで遊んでいました。夕方、氷をやったら、食器の中で上手に舐めていました。最後には小さくなった氷を咥えて食べてしまいました。

Typhoon No. 4 is approaching the Japan. It is forecast that it will start raining on Tuesday, so I finished mowing the lawn in the afternoon. It was raining lightly, but I was able to refresh it. While working in the garden, I noticed a faint sweet scent, kumquat flowers are beginning to grow. Kurumi was still playing with toys today. I gave an ice cube to him in the evening, Kurumi was licking it well in the tableware. At the end, he ate the small ice cube.

昨夜は友人と一緒に食事をしました。同じ会社で長く働いた仲間なので、昔話も楽しく時間を過ごすことができました。今朝から携帯会社の障害で電話が使えません。家の電話を解約したので夕食の予約をレストランに入れることができません。こんな日は予約が要らないレストランに行ってみようと思います。今日は少し気温が下がったのですが、湿度が高く、エアコンは止められません。クルミは気持ちよさそうに昼寝をしていました。

I had dinner with old friends last night. Since we worked for a long time at the same company, we enjoyed spending time with old stories. From this morning, I can’t use the phone due to a mobile company failure. I canceled my home phone so I can’t make a dinner reservation at the restaurant. On such a day, we will go to a restaurant that does not require a reservation. The temperature has dropped a little today, but the humidity is still high and the air conditioner cannot be turned off. Kurumi was taking a nap comfortably.

猛暑の日が続いています。リビングルームのエアコンを効かせてクルミと遊んでいました。小さな温度計を近くに置いて熱中症にならないように注意しています。一日中部屋の中に居るわけにはいきません。涼しい部屋と暑い所を行き来しているだけで疲れてしまいます。午後、買い物に出かけたのですが、クルミはエアコンの効いた車内で居眠りをしていました。電気自動車だと駐車中にエアコンを On にしても気にならないのですが、さすがに車の冷却ファンは唸っていました。

The hot days continue. I was playing with Kurumi by turning on the air conditioner in the living room. Keep a small thermometer nearby to avoid heat stroke. I can’t stay in the room all day. Just going back and forth between a cool room and a hot place makes me tired. We went shopping in the afternoon, but Kurumi was dozing in the air-conditioned car. With an electric car, I don’t mind if I turn on the air conditioner while parking, but the cooling fan of the car was groaning.

今日も猛暑の一日でした。夕方、クルミと庭に出たのですが、まるでサウナ風呂にいるような蒸し暑さに驚いてすぐに家の中に避難しました。こんな日は冷えたモヒートが最高です。庭からミントを採ってきてたくさん浮かべるとその香りが気分を落ち着かせてくれます。クルミは元気におもちゃを選んで遊んでいました。

It was a hot day today as well. In the evening, I went out to the garden with Kurumi, but I was surprised at the heat and humidity as if I was in a sauna bath, and immediately evacuated to the house. A cold mojito is the best on such a day. If I take mint from the garden and float a lot, the scent will calm me down. Kurumi was cheerfully choosing toys and playing.

今日も猛暑となりました。日本は今、太平洋高気圧と大陸からの高気圧が重なっているために気温が急上昇しています。会社から帰宅して私の部屋の温度計を見て驚きました。34℃を示しています。年に何度かはこのような高温になるのですが、未だ 6 月です。今年は厳しい夏となりそうです。クルミは暑いので庭に出られずにかわいそうでした。

I was surprised to see the thermometer in my room when I got home from the office. It shows 34 ℃. It gets hot like this several times a year, but it’s still June. This year is going to be a tough summer. I felt sorry for Kurumi because not being able to go out to the garden due to this hot weather.

パソコンが入った重たいカバンを持って久しぶりに会社まで電車で通勤しました。朝夕の電車は混んでいて、コロナウィルス感染問題が始まる前の状態に戻ったようです。しかし、戻っていないのは乗客全員がマスクを着用していることです。そして、銀杏並木を歩く人もマスクを着用しているのは少し違和感があります。梅雨が明けると強い陽射しが家を照り付けます。今年も日除けを取り付けました。ロープを使って雨の日は簡単に巻き上げられるように工夫しています。クルミとは短い時間の今日でした。

I carry a heavy bag with a computer and commute to work by train for the first time in a while. The morning and evening trains were crowded and seemed to have returned to what they were before the coronavirus infection problem began. But what hasn’t returned is that all passengers are wearing masks. And it feels a little strange that people walking along the Ginkgo trees also wear masks. After the rainy season, strong sunlight illuminates the house. I installed a awning this year as well. I used ropes to make it easy to wind up on rainy days. It was a short time today with Kurumi.

私の住む地域の梅雨が明けたことが報じられました。例年になく早い梅雨明けとなりました。雨の時期が短いことは助かるのですが、今年の夏の猛暑と水不足が心配です。そして電力会社は「電力需給ひっ迫注意報」を発動しています。日本では多くの原子力発電所が停止していることと、火力発電に使用する燃料不足から電力の供給能力に制限があります。クルミは陽が陰った夕方、庭に出て遊びました。猛暑の日が続いています。

Kurumi went out to play in the garden in the evening when the sun was dark. The hot days continue.

今日も朝から強い陽射しが照りつける暑い日となりました。庭に水を撒いていてジュンベリーの苗が鉢植えに育っているのを見つけました。陽射しに映る緑が綺麗です。今夜はレストランのオーナーに招待されて誕生日を祝っていただきました。今月、妻と私は揃って 68 歳になりました。これまでの健康に感謝し、これからの幸せを願って止みません。人との出会いに感謝しています。

It was a hot day with strong sunlight from the morning. I was watering the garden and found Junberry seedlings growing in pots. The green reflected in the sunlight is beautiful. Tonight, we were invited by the restaurant owner to celebrate our birthday. This month my wife and I are both 68 years old. I am grateful for our health so far and wish for happiness in the future. I am grateful for meeting people.

今日も朝から快晴の天気、梅雨が明けたような暑さが朝から襲ってきています。昨日までドライブで消費した電池を充電してやりました。気温が’高かったこともあり、充電中に発生する冷却ファンの音が思ったよりも大きいことがわかりました。夕方、陽が陰ってからクルミと庭で遊びましたが、暑かったのかクルミは家の中に逃げ込むように入っていきました。

今日は朝から良い天気の一日でした。まるで梅雨が明けたかのような真夏の暑さです。雲がかかっていない富士山を見ることができました。クルミは私たちが荷造りを始めると私の膝に乗って心配そうにしています。クルミを置いて行くことはないのに、彼は私から離れません。天気が良かったので帰宅する前に公園に寄って一休みすることにしました。観光バスが多くの観光客を乗せています。ポストコロナの日々が始まっています。

It was a nice day from the morning. It is the heat of midsummer as like the rainy season had ended. I was able to see Mt. Fuji without clouds. Kurumi was worried on my lap as we start packing. We never leaves him, but Kurumi was worried. The weather was nice so I decided to stop by the park and take a rest before going home. Sightseeing buses carry many tourists. The days of post-corona have begun.
