今年はテラスで菜園に挑戦しています。ズッキーニ、なす、オクラ、ミニトマト、レタス、そしてレモンと賑やかなテラスになっています。これからはアブラムシなどの害虫との戦いも始まります。
Wife started the farm at our terrace on the 2nd floor. there are several vegetables and even lemon she is challenging this year. Now we will be getting busy to maintain those everyday.
シンガポールではいつも美味しい夕食を楽しめます。今回は Town Restaurant を初挑戦しました。フカヒレスープが美味しい Tai Village、Buffet が楽しめた Town Restaurant、チリクラブで有名な No Signboard と、今回も夕食を美味しくいただくことができました。そして、Singapore Flyer に乗って地上 165m の高さから夜景を楽しむこともできました。息子の結婚式も無事に終わり、明日の深夜便で帰国となります。
We could always enjoy good food here in Singapore. It was the first time we visited to Town Restaurant where they serve buffet with variety of food from worldwide countries. Tai Village served the shark fin soup and No Singboard serves the famous chilli crab. It was so nice at the evening my son got married. Well we will be leaving tomorrow back to Japan at the midnight flight.
息子の結婚を祝いに妻とシンガポールに来ています。前回訪れたのは一年以上前になりますが、息子がいる関係でしばしば訪れています。日本からの直行便は 7 時間前後で私たちをこの地に送ってくれます。夕方成田を経って深夜に到着、ホテルで荷物整理をすると 2 時頃になります。日本では午前 3 時、時差は 1 時間なので楽なのですが、少し疲れが溜まる移動となりました。
Celebrating son he is going to be married this week, wife and I flew to Singapore this weekend. It was more than a year ago the last time we have visited here. We have been having quite often come to here seeing him and his girlfriend. The flight took around 7 hours directly from Tokyo. Left later afternoon and arrived midnight. It was around 2am last night we went to sleep when it was already 3am in Japan.
今日は母の日です。シンガポールに住む息子たちから蘭の花束が届きました。航空便で送られてきた花は長旅にも関わらずとても綺麗で元気です。毎年、私たちのことを思って送ってくれる息子に感謝です。
Orchid arrived at the Mother’s day today in Japan. Our son sent them to mother via air, Orchids are fine and beautiful even they spent long hours from Singapore to here. Appreciating him and his partner they always think us.
ジャーマンアイリスが今年も花を咲かせました。昨年までは地植えにしていたのですが、今年はプランターで。花付きが良くできて楽しんでいます。北側の地面をコンクリート打ちした副作用なのですが、逆にすずらんにとっては地面が良かったようです。
Flowers at our garden are getting more and more this month. German iris is much much better this year at the plantation box lather than the ground. However it was not good for lily of the valley. They liked at the ground to grow.
昨日からの続き、作業を継続しました。組み木の部分を隠し釘で補強、飾りの板は杉材を使用して軽さを出しました。問題は両扉の合わせです。土台が平行でないことと、扉が水平に出来上がっていません。それらを全て取り付け位置で調整です。少し無理がありますが軽い扉ですから大丈夫でしょう。これで妻が希望していた扉が完成、日曜大工は土曜に完了しました。
I have completed the woodwork today. It was Saturday work not a Sunday DIY. The challenge was to adjust the un horizontal both the base walls and the doors I made. Thus just adjusted the door position to align left and right doors. Now my wife is happy seeing this work that she wanted to have the separated area for her farm.
大型連休中はどこも混雑します。私たちは家の仕事をして過ごしています。これは例年のこととなりました。テラスの掃除をして、日曜大工、ブログを読み返してみたら全く同じことをしていて、自分ながらに笑ってしまいました。さて、今回の大工仕事は数日かかります。今日までで土台と骨組みまで、さてどうなりますか、我ながらに楽しみです。今回はノミを使って組み合わせてみました。丹念にこつこつと仕事をしていたら、日焼けしてしまいました。
We are spending time at house doing things because there are lot of people getting trip on this golden week in Japan. I cleaned terrace and wood working that wife requests. I read my memory last year when I did the same thing funny. This time it takes some days to complete. Used the chisel assemble wood. Spent good time today. Continue work to this weekend.
鬼怒川に 2 年前に Open した絆に行ってきました。しぶごえグループのこの宿はペット同伴率が高く、犬連れにはとても気持ちが良い宿です。同じグループの宿が伊豆、修善寺にもあります。料理は魚が美味しい伊豆のほうに軍配が上がりました。今回も温泉と料理を堪能、犬たちも一緒に布団の中で気持ちよく過ごしました。帰りは日光に立ち寄ったのですが、天候が悪く、早々に引き上げました。
We got a trip to Kinugawa where the inn opened 2 years ago. This inn allows bringing pets. We have been using the inn at Syuzenji the same group. Dinner is better at Syuzenji with fresh fish. We could enjoy dinner and hot spa at this inn also. Visited Nikko on the way back to home but the weather was not good so could not spend time longer that was unfortunate.
昨日から山形、長井に来ています。朝、ホテル近くに流れる最上川土手を散策してみました。桜が満開です。遠くの山々には雪が残っています。足元を見ると土筆がたくさん。春を感じる早朝となりました。
山形、長井への出張、明朝からの会議に合わせて前日入りしました。駅からのタクシー、お願いしてちょっと寄り道です。樹齢 1,200 年とも言われる老木と向き合ってみました。ここ長井は未だ少し気温が低く、4 分咲きといったところでしょうか、老木からのパワーは激しく、勢いを感じました。
While I needed to be here today for the meeting starts tomorrow morning, I just visited to the place to see this old tree. She has been here last 1,200 ++ years. Amazing thing and keep blossom cherry flowers. I could get her power today.
