40 年以上このような経験が無い寒波が来ています。私が住むこの地域では朝の気温が零下 8 ℃でした。通勤途上、車に設置された外気温計を見てびっくり。睡蓮鉢の水もぶくぶくの泡がそのまま凍結していました。

It was the record last 40 years and more we did not experience such low temperature here.  There was below 7 to 8 deg C this morning.

月曜の夕方から降り始めた雪、私が住む地域では 30cm 程度積もりました。車で通勤、少し早めに会社を出たのですが、家まではたどり着けず、近くの駐車場に一晩駐めることにしました。問題はノーマルタイヤの車。坂道で立ち往生、おかげで大渋滞。愛車は F-R ですが、スタッドレスタイヤのおかげで何とか走ってくることができました。シーズンに一度か二度、このような思いをしなければなりません。

It was a storm here on Monday.  The snow around 30cm more I had here my area.  Even I left my office earlier but it took very long due to the traffic many cars are not used to drive with this condition.  I appreciated the tire I have runs on the snow without any big issue.

プリンは容体が安定していて、最近は酸素室で寝て、昼間は甘ったれです。クルミはお腹を壊して獣医さんで点滴を受けてきました。犬たちに気を使う毎日ですが、可愛い命です。少しでも一緒に長く、願って止みません。

Purin has been good keeping the stable condition using the oxygen room while sleep.  Kurumi got problem with his stomach the doctor inject medicine so Kurimi needs stay quiet.  Although dogs need our care we hope they will be with us longer lovely.

車の一年点検を受けました。新車から 2 回目となります。消耗部品、オイル類の交換をしていただきました。ブレーキ、タイヤについては未だ問題ないレベルです。最近、排気ガスにススが混ざるようになり技術者と意見交換しました。やはり、2,000 回転以上で長く回すことが鍵のようです。最近の車は燃費重視のためギア比が高く、高速でも 2,000 回転以下で走行できてしまいます。店にあった売れ残りの福袋を買ってしまいました。使えそうな小物が入っていてラッキーでした。

I visited to the garage for the annual check for my car.  Replaced oil and some parts.  Break and tire are good to use continuously.  I was noticed the level of soot from the exhaust.  Discussed with a technician and we agreed to use the engine with 2,000 rpm level to keep good condition.  It is however these days a car designed with high gear ratio.  I consider this suggestion anyway.  I then bought the last one at the shop fortune box. 

今回は薪クラブさんから調達してみました。ナラ乾燥薪 45cm 特大割 50 束 (550kg) という商品です。指定した時間帯にきちんと配達していただきました。近くの配送業者さんが来てくれて、薪棚の前まで運んでくれました。容積にすると 1.5 立米程度です。配送料がかかりますが、品質はとても良いです。薪の重さも十分で火持ちが良さそうです。

I used the new supplier purchased woods for stove this season.  The size is good 45cm long and larger cut.  Total 550kg that the supplier said I have measured around 1.5 cubic meters.  It looks good quality but need to dry more talking some months to burn.

今週はシンガポールに来ています。これまでに数えると 20 回程度、観光し尽くしてしまいましたが、息子夫婦が住んでいて、今回は彼らに会うことが主目的です。昨年から住み始めた彼らのお城を見せてもらいました。振興住宅地となっていて活気があります。都心から離れたところに住んでいる私たちからすると、賑やかで少し落ち着きませんが、若い彼らにとってこれからの生活拠点となることでしょう。世界は小さくなったとは言っても 7, 8 時間飛んでくるにはかかります。これからも健康で安全に過ごすことを願っています。

I have taking off this week visiting my son and his wife.  If I count the numbers to be here it is more than 20 times up to now.  There is almost all places we have visited in Singapore.  But it is the object to see the house they bought last year.  The residence area is developing so I feel a lots of energy with younger aged families.  I am sure it is also good for them to live this area for their part of life.  I really wish safe and health for them because it needs more than 7 hours to come here even the world got smaller.

友人に声をかけて新年会を持ちました。参加者は全員で 14 名、とても楽しいひとときを持つことができました。前の会社で知り合った人の輪に今の職場の知り合いを混ぜていただきました。こうして人間のネットワークを広げられることは嬉しいことです。就活中の話、終活を考えている人、今後の成長を目指して変化を追い求める人、人間模様で座敷は華やかでした。お店は吉祥寺にあるみこし寿司です。釣りが大好きな大将です、そんな表示が店の看板にも書かれています。新鮮なアジ、大将が自分で釣ってきたそうです。

I called friends reunion at this new year holiday season.   There were total 14 people got together at the Sushi Restaurant.  I invited a friend from office while others were from the previous company.  It is so happy I could present the chance widen the people network.  Finding out the new opportunity, looking a way to spend rest of the life and planning to have the next step.  It was so nice exchanging the situation at the team.

今年も妻と二人で初詣に来ました。陽射しが暖かく、穏やかなお正月です。多くの参拝客が来ていました。去年のお守りを返納、お参りをして今年の幸福を祈願、いつものようにお守りをいただいて、お酒と甘いものを楽しんで帰ってきました。今年、海外に住む息子夫婦にも幸せが訪れますように。

Wife and I visited to the place this time again.  It is so nice we can come to this place every year with safe and happiness.  There were many people pray the year.  I renew the amulet, took one drink Sake and sweet then come back to home.  Please be happy and health my family with both in Singapore.

快晴の太平洋側、綺麗な初日の出が各所で見られたようです。写真はテレビの映像、テレビ局のヘリコプターから、富士山の西側から撮影しています。右下にはおみくじ、シャッターチャンスを決めて静止画、大吉が撮れました。良い年になることを祈ります。

The weather at this side (in east) Japan usually good in winter.  The first sunrise in 2018 was nicely enjoyable.  The picture I just capture from the TV program.

2018年元旦です。朝晩はめっきり冷え込むようになりました。庭のバードバスも昼過ぎまで凍っています。大晦日、愛犬たちが眠る墓を掃除してきました。1995年にチャオ、2001年にクッキーが亡くなっています。それぞれ 13 歳の壁でした。今は 12 歳のプリンと 8 歳のクルミ、今年も彼らと楽しく過ごせることを願います。多くの方々から年賀状をいただき嬉しい元旦を過ごしています。

A happy new year 2018.  It has been very cold these days thus the bird bath is frozen in the morning.  We visited the cemetery where 2 dogs are sleeping since 1995 (Chao) and 2001 (Cookie).  They passed away just after their 13th birthday.  Now we live both Purin (12) and Kurumi (8) wishing we live together with happiness this year.
