紫陽花を見に高幡不動尊を訪れました。小高い丘一面に咲いた花が見事です。ここに山内八十八ケ所巡拝路が作られていて、ゆっくりと紫陽花の花を見ながら 1 時間程度で 88 ヶ所を巡ることができます。私も久しぶりにデジカメを手にでかけてきました。

木曜からドライブ、熱海、箱根と温泉巡りをしてきました。梅雨入りした直後、雨の覚悟で出かけましたが、幸いにも晴れ間に恵まれました。熱海ではアカオホテルで知られるローズ & ハーブガーデンを初めて訪れました。箱根では箱根神社、駒ケ岳、大涌谷と観光し、強羅公園で花々を見て散策しました。帰り道、河口湖のラベンダー畑に立ち寄り、少し早い花の香りを堪能してきました。

Drove to Atami and Hakone area last 3 days from Thursday.  It was a good trip enjoyed hot spring places.  Luckily the weather was good even the rainy season has just started in this area.  We have visited some places never been there so it was quite refreshed  time.

今朝から組み立てて 2 台のベンチが生まれ変わりました。完全に分解したので、座面を 2 色にしてみました。表から見るとまだ使えそうですが、木の内部は腐食が進んでいてネジが効かない状態になっています。木が腐る現象、これはどうしても避けられませんが、水がかかっても内部に入らないようにして、少しでも長く使ってやりたいと思います。捨ててしまうことは簡単です。今回は週末丸 2 日かけて直してみました。

I bought those wooden benches while I was in the States about 18 years ago.  Since those have been surviving at the outside they have got damages.  I painted those 2 years ago and now I did this again from the disassemble parts level.  It took 2 full days this time and hoping they will be in a good shape next couple years.

先日、妻と二人で八王子城跡を訪れました。本丸跡まではちょっとした登山です。標高 460m と高くはありませんが、勾配が急な道を 40 分かけて登りました。八王子神社もあります。見晴らしの良いベンチでおにぎりをいただきました。

The other day we visited to the site of Hachioji Castle.  It took about 40 minutes to the site where about 460m high.  The rout is quite steep and narrow so we took a rest a few times on the way.  It was a nice walk at the cloudy day.  Link to the English site.

2 年前に塗装して使ってきましたが、塗装の剥がれが目立ってきました。塗料が古かった事と前処理をサボったことが原因かも知れません。快晴が続く週末を利用して分解することから修理をやってみました。屋外で使っていると雨水でやられてしまいます。所々腐食しています。昔の塗料を剥がして木肌を少し削ってみました。ネジ穴が腐っているのでその部分も少し削って、パテで埋めました。分解と剥がし、再塗装までで 2 日かかりました。

I painted those benches 2 years ago.  The paint surface has been damaged by rain.  I then used this weekend to repair them from disassemble level like overhaul.  There are some area wood decayed by water over around 18 years.  Removed the old paint and repair decay portion by putty.  It took 2 days from disassemble piece level.  

買い物のついでに近くの店で合板の端材を仕入れてきました。結局、このような屋根にしてみました。メンテナンスのことを考えて上からはめ込むだけにしてあります。夏椿の木につけてみました。さて、このような住宅地ですが、巣箱に入ってくれるでしょうか？

Completed the roof and put the box to the tree that we can see through the family room window.  I am not sure birds will come or not but let me see while.

庭に来る鳥たちを見ていると飽きません。メジロ、スズメ、ムクドリなどがよく来てジュンベリーの実をついばんでいます。つがいのハトもよく来てくれます。そこで、巣箱を置いてみることにしました。手作りの巣箱です。屋根の部分をどう作るか悩んで今日は終わりました。

Although my house is in the residence area, birds are coming and eat some fruits in this season.  I then made a box for the nest.  Hope birds like this and make their nest in this box.  I could not finalize the design for the roof today.  Let me think tonight and fix this tomorrow.

予約を入れた時はまだ、プリンも来る予定でした。スケジュールを変更して、クルミと訪れています。いつも来る旅館はそのことを知っていて、私たちを丁重に迎えてくれました。5 月にしては蒸し暑い週となり、クルミは体調を崩してしまい、近くの「伊豆の国動物病院」へ。先生がとても丁寧に対応してくださいました。ここ数日は安静とのこと、クルミを宿において修善寺の街を散策、竹林では夫婦そろって寝転びました。充電を終えて家に帰りましょう。

When I made the reservation I was planning to come here with all of us.  But Purin passed away in March I needed to cancel the reservation.  After we calm down we decided to come with Kurumi and a lots of memory with Purin.  Because the weather was so hot yesterday Kurumi got unwell condition.  We luckily informed good veterinary near the hotel.  Kurimi visited and talked with the doctor he was so kind explain the situation.  While we took walk at the town Kurumi slept at the room.  Hope he will get well soon with the medicine.

2015 年 5 月に友人から分けていただいた睡蓮です。3 年目ともなると大きくなってくるものですね。これまでの鉢に苗を入れて、それが入る大きめの容器を今年は用意しました。2 週間くらい前から蕾が出ていました。そして今日、開花です。可憐な色、水と相まってとても良いものですね。庭の花々も綺麗です。

It is the 3rd year I am enjoying the water lily flowers.  The plant has been glowing so I changed the pot size up.  It is now getting hot weather so the lily blooms and I see more buds in the water.  I am glad to enjoy more flowers this year.  Appreciating the friend he gave me the plant 3 years ago.

丸 5 年使い続けてきた DELL E6230 です。HDD を SSD に、OS を Windows 10 に、と何かと使える環境を整えてきましたが、パームトップのウレタン塗装がべたつきだしました。日本のように湿度が高い場所でのウレタン塗装は加水分解しやすいのではないでしょうか。そこで、塗装を剥がしてしまうことにしました。無水エタノールとスポンジでごしごし、スイッチ類のある場所は壊してもいけないし、触る機会も少ないのでそのままとしました。シールなどで化粧することとし、スケルトン化したトップはつるつるになりました。

This PC has been using last 5 years already.  I have been maintaining this by changing the HDD to SSD and OS to Windows 10 by myself.  However the palm top top area became sticky and uncomfortable.  I then decided to remove the paint keep just a bare condition.
