今日の午後は曇り空でしたが、気温は高く、蒸し暑い日が続きました。今日は自宅勤務の一日でした。私の書斎にもエアコンはありますが、窓を開けて、吹き込んで風を楽しむこととしました。しかし、湿度が高いため、汗が滲んできてしまいます。散歩を終えて庭に水を撒きました。気付くと金冠の木に多くの花がついています。来年もまた多くの実がつくことでしょう。クルミは今日も気持ちよさそうに昼寝していました。

It was a cloudy sky this afternoon, but the temperature was high and humid days continued. Today was a day of working from home. My den also has an air conditioner, but I decided to open the window and enjoy the wind to blow in. However, due to the high humidity, sweat will ooze. After the walk, I sprinkled water in the garden. I noticed that the golden crown tree has many flowers. There will be many fruits next year as well. Kurumi was taking a nap comfortably today as well.

今日から 8 月になります。夏真っ盛りの暑い日々が続いています。車の外気温度計は人間の体温と同じ温度を表示していました。日本の夏は年々厳しくなってくるような思いです。そして、このような天気の中でオリンピック競技が行われています。選手のみなさんの健康と健闘を祈っています。日本は金メダルを多く獲得していて、嬉しい限りです。クルミは少し庭に出たのですが、暑さに負けて、すぐに家の中に戻ってしまいました。

It is August from today already. The hot days of summer are continuing. The outside air thermometer of the car displayed almost the same temperature as the human body temperature. I feel that summer in Japan is getting tougher year by year. And the Olympic Games are being held in such a weather. I pray for the health and good health of all the players. I am very happy that Japan has won many gold medals. Kurumi went out to the garden for a while, but by the heat so he soon returned to the house.

昨日までの旅の疲れがでたためか、クルミは私が起こすまで寝ていました。今日も気温が高い日となりました。気がつくと近くのカフェに「氷」と書かれた旗が飾られています。コーヒー色で氷と書かれているので、コーヒー味のかき氷を出しているのかも知れません。暑い日は氷の冷たさに誘われてしまいます。しかし、今日は時間がなく、我慢することにしました。クルミは昼寝をたくさんしていました。その横で私も少し昼寝を楽しみました。穏やかな週末を過ごすことができました。

Kurumi slept until I woke up, probably because he was tired of the trip until yesterday. Today was also a hot day. When I noticed, a flag with “ice” was displayed in a nearby cafe. Since it is written as ice in coffee color, it may be that they are serving coffee-flavored shaved ice. On hot days, the coldness of the ice invites me. However, I didn’t have time today and decided to put up with it. Kurumi had a lot of nap today. Next to him, I also enjoyed a nap for a while. We were able to spend a peaceful weekend.

今朝は宿の近くで散歩を楽しみました。朝から蒸し暑い日でした。国道沿いを歩いていると珍しいモノが目に止まって楽しくなります。午前中は宿でのんびりとして午後から帰宅の途につきました。途中、熱海のカフェで昼食。クルミと一緒にテラスで食べることができたので良かったです。このカフェは宿にあった雑誌で知ってきてみました。野菜をたくさんつかった料理がとても美味しいところでした。

I enjoyed a walk near the inn this morning. It was a hot and humid day from the morning. When I walk along the national road, I notice rare things and have fun. In the morning we just relax at the inn, then we went home from the afternoon. On the way to home, we had lunch at a cafe in Atami. It was good to be able to eat on the terrace with Kurumi. I found out about this cafe in a magazine at the inn. The food with lots of vegetables was very delicious.

海の見える公園に来ました。日差しは強く、暑い日でしたが、海からの風が心地よく、穏やかな時間を過ごすことができました。テラスのあるカフェで昼食をいただいた後、灯台のある岬まで散歩をしました。海岸沿いを 1km ほど歩いて、良い汗をかきました。今日、日本では 10,000 人を超える新規コロナ感染者が出ています。このような時期に旅行をしているととても複雑な気分になってしまいます。明日は熱海を経由して帰る予定です。

We came to a park with a view of the sea. The sun was strong and it was a hot day, but the wind from the sea was comfortable and we were able to spend a calm time. After having lunch at a cafe with a terrace, we took a walk to the cape with a lighthouse. We walked about 1km along the coast and sweated a lot. Today, there are more than 10,000 new corona infections in Japan. Traveling at such times can make me feel very complicated. I am planning to return via Atami tomorrow.

朝から気温が高い朝でしたが、明け方に散歩をしてみました。雲の写真を撮ってみました。帰宅してクルミと庭で時間を過ごしたのですが、蚊が多くて大変です。昨日までの雨の後ですから蚊が多く発生しているようです。早速、ウチの中に逃げ込みました。午後からはドライブです。緊急事態の中なのですが、静岡まで行くこととしました。

It seems that many mosquitoes are growing after the rain until yesterday. Immediately, we ran into my house. We took a drive from the afternoon. It is under the emergency situation, but I decided to go to Shizuoka today.

台風 8 号は動きが遅くなっています。明日の午前中に東北地方に上陸する予報が出ています。最近、日本の近くで発生する台風が多くなっています。また、進路も予想がつきません。東北地方に上陸する台風は過去に無かったそうです。これも地球の温暖化の影響なのかも知れません。午前中の雨は夕方やんで、青空が広がっています。オリーブの木を見ると穴が開けられていて、カミキリムシの巣が出来ていました。今日もクルミとの時間を大切にしました。食べて、遊んで、寝て、たくさん吠えて、今日も早くに寝てしまいました。

Typhoon No. 8 is slowing down. The forecast to land in the Tohoku region tomorrow morning. Recently, many typhoons occur near Japan. Also, the course is unpredictable. It seems that there was no typhoon landing in the Tohoku region in the past. This may also be the effect of global warming. The rain in the morning stopped in the evening, and the blue sky is spreading. When I looked at the olive tree, there was a hole in it, and a nest of longhorn beetles was formed. I took time with Kurumi today as well. He ate, played, slept, barked a lot, and fell asleep early today.

クルミは毎月のトリミングの日でした。私は会社に行く日だったので、クルミとはあまり時間を持つことができませんでした。今日も暑い一日でした。明日には上陸する台風 8 号の動きが気になります。東北地方に上陸するようですが、被害が出ないことを祈っています。

Kurumi got a monthly trimming today. I didn’t have much time with Kurumi because it was the day I went to work. It was a hot day today as well. I am worried about the movement of Typhoon No. 8 that will land tomorrow. It seems that it will land in the Tohoku region, but I hope that there will be no damage.

ダイニングの窓から差し込む朝日がテーブルの上を照らして清々しい朝でした。今日も暑い夏の日差しを受けて散歩をしてみました。見上げると雲が綺麗です。どことなく雲が高く見えます。明日からは台風 8 号が接近してくるようです。日本は今、オリンピックが始まって賑わっています。私もテレビを観てアスリートを応援しています。紆余曲折あったのですが、私はこのまま無事に終わってくれることを願っています。世界から集まったアスリートのみなさんが精一杯戦って、記録を出してもらいたいものです。クルミとたくさん遊ぶことができた日曜でした。

The morning sun shining through the dining window illuminated the table and it was a refreshing morning. I took a walk in the hot summer sunshine today. The clouds are beautiful when I look up. Somehow the clouds look high. It seems that Typhoon No. 8 is approaching from tomorrow. Japan is now busy with the start of the Olympics. I also watch TV and support athletes. There were twists and turns, but I hope it will end safely. I would like athletes from all over the world to fight as hard as they can and set a record. It was Sunday when I was able to play a lot with Kurumi today.

毎週土曜の朝はテニススクールに通っています。3 年前に入会して休まずに通っていますが、上達はしません。妻と二人で汗を流して、知り合いとなったスクールの仲間と話す時間が楽しみになっています。先月、ラケットのガットを張り替えた後から肘に痛みが出るようになってしまいました。ひどくならないように整骨院に行くことにしました。テニスをしている間は痛みが無いのですが、クラスから帰ると痛みが出てきます。整骨院の担当と相談しながらリハビリテーションを始めています。クルミは今日、庭にできているイチゴを見つけました。香りが良いイチゴなので、クルミはすぐに見つけることができました。

I go to tennis school every Saturday morning. I joined the club three years ago and have been attending without a break, but I haven’t improved. I’m enjoying to working out with my wife and talking to our friends at the school. Last month, I started to feel pain in my elbow after I replaced the racket gut. I decided to go to the osteopathic clinic so that it wouldn’t get worse. I don’t have any pain when playing tennis, but when I return to home, I feel pain. I am doing rehabilitation having consulting by the person in charge of the osteopathic clinic. Kurmi found strawberries in the garden today. The fragrant strawberries made it easy to find him.
