昨夜、息子夫婦が日本に着きました。先週末は自分が仕事でシンガポール、会ったばかりの二人を今回は羽田に迎えに出ました。自宅から高速で羽田空港までは小一時間で行けるようになりました。しかし、それは渋滞がない時の話。昨夜は首都高で事故が発生、羽田まで 2 時間弱かかってしまいました。彼らの便も 20 分定刻よりも早く着いたのですが、お迎えに間に合うことができました。長年計画してきた屋久島への旅行の始まりです。
I picked up my son and his wife last night at Haneda airport. I met with them just a week ago while I was on the business trip. Now we welcome them to Japan and our home. It takes just an hour to Haneda using the highway without any traffic jam. Fortunately we just got arrived before they came through the exit although I was in the traffic jam on the metropolitan highway. It is the good start for our trip to Yaku island this time that I have been planning last a few years.
