I was asked by Professor K from the university to repair his computer, so I gave it a try. The model is a Microsoft Surface, and it wasn\u2019t powering on. After isolating the problem between the charger and the main unit, I found that replacing the charger made it work normally. Professor K mentioned hearing a \u2018pop\u2019 sound, which led me to suspect a short circuit around the connector area. Upon inspection, I noticed something unusual at the point where the charger plugs into the main unit. It seems that a short circuit here likely caused the charger to fail. I found a replacement charger at a nearby secondhand shop and confirmed that charging works properly now. Since the connector area is surrounded by metal, I was concerned, so I temporarily put some tape over it. I\u2019ll explain this to Professor K and advise him to be careful in future use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
